I loved my Yak-15 and it's one of the planes that I will return to "someday". I used it as a tool to grind to the Yak-19 which I loved in the 1.9 Common Test. The issue is once I got to that plane in the real game, I realized how terrible I was in it.
The Yak-15 in and of itself is a great plane to fly. It was my first jet in the game and flying it reminded me of watching gun camera footage from the Korean War. I learned how to dodge, duck and dodge in this plane and that skill has carried over to other low to mid alt planes.
I never really faulted the plane in my low win rate, mostly myself. I found myself more often than not alive, but alone with 3 to 4 enemy planes shooting me to pieces. It does not usually carry a team, but is a clean-up fighter like no other, as long as you can clean up and don't have to carry. Better pilots than me may disagree, and that is fine. This plane and the Yak-9U are both come-back-to planes once I reach my other goals in the game.
[Edit] Yagos2k15, forgot to say I got to see you fly this plane at least 2x against me and you know how to work the plane very well. Videos or pointers on it would be much appreciated as I am sure the skills on this plane carry over to the Yak-19.
