Hey all,

If this has been addressed I apologize but could not find it either by the search or by google, so here goes:

I like skimming the ground. flying over my shadow is fun and it spices up the game for me, as a result I always have the "low altitude" pop up covering the middle of my display. I turned off the guy that says "low altitude pull up!" but is there a way to remove the pop-up altogether? I watch my altimeter, I'm comfortable enough to know where I am in the 3d environment. Is there any way to remove this annoying pop-up notification? Thanks in advance!

I fly low a lot, I am not even sure if I have that notification in my screen. I will have a look for you when I am in battle and will reply later.

Maybe my scan pattern is "altitude, tgt, minimap, speed"and I do not even notice it in front of the screen.

(I have the "guy" completely shut too).

go to game options.

There is a box that turns off the low alt warning.

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent

Yup,

Go: settings, battle, then uncheck "ground proximaty warning system"

Have fun !

Just turn the voice volume all the way off
My wife said if I can make money playing video games, she'd leave me alone, so....

@DInk_Spinkley I dont care about the voice. the voice is turned off via the "ground proximaty warning system" check. Its just unfortunate having the red text pop up every time I go low. I have no voice any more, it is tunred off, but the "Low Altitude" red pop-up text still hovers mid screen whenever I'm below 50 meters.

Anyone know how to remove the text?

Also thanks for all the replies, I thought the GPWS was the ticket also, but it seems it was already checked for me, hence the lack of voice. Thanks in advance for any further help provided :D

I don't think you can turn the actual visual que off the screen. Maybe put some tape over where it pops up:hiding:

I used White Out. I have not had a problem since.

And OP it will not effect shooting planes if you attack them at an angle.

I tried this... seems to get sticky in a dogfight though.
