Many in WS and other clans want to participate in a tournament - but they dont want to participate in a proprietary/privately run event.  I've decided to at least start the organization on a different tournament.  However, I will not be administrating the tournament - rather, a completely independent, well respected in neutrality, and experienced (game experience) player will be this tournaments admin (to be announced).

General info.

1. Start Date - Feb 19th 2016 (letting the other tourney finish - note change date based upon WG request)

2. Registration begins Feb 1st 2016 12pm EST closes Feb 12th 2016 12pm EST

3. Rules - same as AR6, with small adjustments to be finalized by admin

4. Prizing - Gold - to be announced exactly, but we will make it enough to be well worth it.

5. Admin to be announced within 7-10 days of this post.

I will be listing the clans which support this tourney and format - after I specifically get their permission to post such.  There is a lot of interest in a tournament, and i'm merely going to help push this along slightly. Other successful Air Raids in the past have had a fundamental format of independent, non-participating admins that are respected in the community.

Yeah, the link for it is in my signature.  Happy to help out.

Also, just to avoid confusion, since there will now be 2 tournaments running close together.

Would you consider revising your tournament name?

I am currently using Air Raid 8.

Since you are calling this community Air Rad, two suggestions would be"Community Air Raid 1" or "Community Air Raid 9".

Sorry, but the truth is I feel you are using the term Air Raid incorrectly - yet I can't stop you, the same way you can't stop me.  If the future admin wants to rename it you can ask him, but at this point its going to be Air Raid 8.  My term "community" is for the distinction between your proprietary exclusive tournament vs. an actual community backed version of the Air Raid.  I've given you many opportunities to try and unite our camps and you seem to refuse - which should serve others notice as a precursor to your "method" of management.

Community run events are just frosting on a pile of crap in my opinion.  Poorly organized, poorly implemented, and poorly executed, but hey, at least it is something, right?

Of coarse I am comparing tournaments that are put together for Tanks.  Anyone that has played in a tournament that was run by WG in Tanks can see how easy a tournament should be.  The cluster &%#* that we have to go through to have a tournament really takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Good luck with this but until WG decides to put a little effort into their own game in the form of tournaments, I don't see any of these community events being successful.

Well besides your remarks I'm willing to take part in this event mostly due to Jinn's intentions that he clearly noted.

Personally I did not have any issues in my only Marco/Popcorn hosted Air Raid either, but there was too much drama prior to its start and we don't want any part of that.

We look forward to this upcoming event with high hopes it will be successful and will be honored to be a part of it.

It's been much longer than you promised.

Due to the forum flame wars he didn't want to put himself in the middle of it - which I understand.  We will announce a new guy soon.

So I wants a tourney.  We already have the rules that were written up in previous ones that worked out great once we add in a rule for date of last match in the double eliminations.  Let's pick one tier and everybody brings a different plane with that being the only stipulation and no tier splits.  We pick someone random to be the administrator, who cares if they're in a clan or not as long as they'll just be calm, cool, and collected.  Then ghost prime just needs to give us some gold.  Pretty simple stuff here folks.

Undefeated 1st place, Clantastrophy tournament

Air Raid 6  3rd place,  Air Raid 7  2nd place, Air Raid 8 1st place

So simple that the last two attempts resulted in not only complete and utter failure, but also the degradation of the entire community and communal reputation.

EDIT: Not to mention the ABSOLUTELY DEBACLE that they called CCWB.

Yeah, I think you're right - just as long as they aren't playing.  I have someone who was giving me an answer soon, and if he declines then lets just get someone regardless of if they're associated with a clan.  The largest point really is just that they aren't on a specific team competing.

I'll make another post soon about registration.

Actually air raid 6 went off without a hitch and 7 was good other than the hype and the end.  It wouldn't bother me to run one, especially since everyone loves me but I will be playing if I can make a clan team.  The rules are written, add in a definitive date for the final battle and everything is done.

Undefeated 1st place, Clantastrophy tournament

Air Raid 6  3rd place,  Air Raid 7  2nd place, Air Raid 8 1st place

It did.  However, like other tourneys a dedicated thread is often made for team make-up.  Any team posted here will be moved over to the new thread once made.

(and in case the post above is changed by Hammy, i've made a copy of it here)
