I respectfully request that you change the contest to submit photos rather than mailing in the submission.

I never lose; either I win or I learn.

I have one incoming, but I wanted to know can I maximize my postage and send all of the ornament in for every world of .......in a single package?

or will that DQ me?

plus the primer was drying last night as I was catching up on the walking dead ...

3 questions:

1a) "Only one entry per Account." Does this mean per account or per game? The prizes are different! If we play all 3 WG titles, can we enter 3 ornaments (1 per title/theme) as each title is holding a contest with different prizes?

1b) If so, can they be shipped in the same box if clearly labeled inside?

2) Am I correct in interpreting that no WG logos can be used in the ornaments?

3) Can I use metal sheet IF all edges and sanded smooth, there are no sharp points, and it is under the weight limit?

I sent everything in one package. I see my entry listed in the WoWS forum, so I think it works fine. While it is a fun contest, I did not want to spend more $$ than the value I would get for in game stuff.
WoWS Alpha Tester - I am looking forward to meeting you on the high seas!

1a: Per game. :)

1b: yes.

2: No, you can use WG logos.

3: I don'r see why not, as long as there are no sharp edges.

So I got around to uploading pics of our ornaments.

Mine

WOT

My design is a Christmas star created from stylized interpretations of the road wheels and drive sprockets of the M4 Sherman, PZ IV, KV-2 and Tiger II. The materials were all scrounged from scrap I had lying around. In order from inside to outside I used Scotch-brite-polished aluminum, polished aluminum, welded cold-rolled steel, and more polished aluminum. The pieces were cut by drill and dremel, and metal shears. They are bonded with JB Weld. The hangar is thin twisted copper wire from a leftover lamp cord. It is the first time I've ever tried to make something like this, or tried to bond dissimilar metals. I'm quite pleased with the result.

WOWP

This design is a two-dimensional Chrismas bulb with the faces of the two most iconic Korean War era fighters: The F-86 and MiG-15. It is single sheet of aluminum, taken from scrap, cut and sanded smooth. Then all the panel lines and rivets were etched by hand. The indents for the gun barrels were done with a drill. Then various panels sections were brushed with acrylic paint and glaze; some to better reflect their materials, some to represent a painted surface, and some just for accent. Then all the lines were etched again. Then it was clearcoated by brush with acrylic varnish. I chose brush application, rather than spraying, because the handmade appearance is more in keeping with the theme of the contest. The hangar is thin twisted copper wire from a leftover lamp cord.

WOWS

My ornament is the five-bladed main prop of the US Iowa, made entirely from two small sheets of brass scrap I found in my studio. These were cut with shears, sanded, and twisted in a vice with a clamp. Then drilled and tapped to receive the screw. The screw first feeds through a round plate, cut and sanded then etched, representing one of the Iowa's 16” gun barrels – with rifling. The head of the screw represents the projectile. I had considered filling the slots and painting it, but decided that a uniform metal appearance was more pleasing overall. On the rear, where the screw terminates, is the USS Iowa's “61” using cut numbers on a backing plate, ground and polished for contrasting textures. Once assembled I carefully fluxed and soldered the threads of the screw to fix the pieces in their places. The hangar is thin twisted copper wire from a leftover lamp cord, also scrap.

I had to log in and say how amazing those are hvplantirion

I personally went with a style straight out of my childhood made some very simple wood models that looked like a boat and a plane and painted them in primary(ish) colors. blue, greens and reds.

I included a date and the insignia cause everyone knows that all your old ornaments had a date on it hand written. hahaha

aw well

again thank you GP and WG for doing this.

I missed the anniversary plane so I plan on trying to not miss any opportunity given after that.

ok the spacing is all off for me wth
