Yeah, but not because they think its a challenge.

The only way to ensure a win in a GAA is playing peek-a-boo or hiding, which = the most uninvolved, unentertaining game play on the planet. To think that is a challenge to be recognized is mind boggling. No one is impressed when a GAA wins a game by hiding, in fact I'd think it's fair to say most people would rather return to hangar than waste 10 minutes playing peek-a-boo. I know I always do.

You got the supremacy advantage and hiding over aa in your full health GAA? GG Return to hangar, enjoy your "well earned" win.

I play the game how it goes,  almost every battle I kill a plane,  when it needs a hide,  thats what it is,  but very often go for the kill,  with any means possible.

All that counts is the win!

No matter how! And yes,  I will enjoy my win,  maybe that is the reason I still play and joined a clan. We have fun,  and also win quite some times.

WIN-WIN situation!

Maybe, I stopped caring about winning when I realized win or lose the only thing fun about the game is how you did it. Often I have more fun losing than I do winning, because winning often calls for playing cautiously, while losing means butt clinching fun.

Both true!

As long as we are having fun!

By looking at most players on the forum they must still have some form of fun,  thousands of battles all together!

Sometimes, most the time my fun in this game comes at the expense of others.

Fun - Fun is winning, Losing is not fun. If flying in a GA upside down, whilst singing Wizard of Oz/Somewhere over the Rainbow, wins the game, so be it. IF it takes Hiding to Win so be it. Fun is for birthday parties and hay rides.

The way you write the title, I thought this was going to be some kinda of "why GA should stick to the ground"

Here's a tip buddy. If you're going to whine about GA as fighters, be a GA yourself, see who's raging at who next.

If a T5 Spit or Yak takes out an healthy T7 IL.......you can bet your babies bippy, we would have seen the video

nah - I've taken out several Il-10s (and several more Me 265s than that) in my favorite tier V plane, the P-40. That same P-40 takes out Il-2(t)s several times a week at least. I don't see it as anything special at all - certainly never thought it was 'post a video' worthy. In fact, I'd probably be embarrassed to post a video of taking out a tier VI GA with a P-40 it is so trivial unless I was down to 25 HP or something before starting the engagement. Sure it takes a minute, and if the Il-10 driver is good i'll probably fail, but i'd rather take on a Il-10 in a P-40 than a Bf 109G or La-7 for sure. A good Il-2(t) pilot is still almost certain to fall to my P-40 tho if I have any reasonable amount of health to start with. Taking down Ju-88Ps with a tier V fighter is so easy it makes me feel bad sometimes.  I'd get WAY more excited getting an ace medal in a GA.

I have a notion: let's all send our clips of taking our higher tier GAs with light fighters to _Warchylde_ so he can make up a crazy long video montage that we can post as a reply everytime texthor complains about GAs. Only problem is it would probably get rather dull/repetitive.

Hmmmmm,   for me personally, i don't care what plane i am in. if your on the other team and get in front of my guns, i pull the trigger.  If i get you, great, if i don't and I'm still flying, i will try again.   That is why with the game as it is NOW, i have to improvise and do both air to ground and air to air to help my side when flying GA.  Speaking of which, i got the Ace medal in my JU88 about 2 months a go on observatory map, tonzzo and his team were doing well but came down low and i did what i could and got lucky.  could i do it again, yes if the opportunity presents itself.  i take each achievement in this game as gravy but, It does not mean i do not try to do well.  with the bots and the new update due to be out in the future (1.9), it will be a tactical adjustment as the bots are no longer morons and will hunt you down.  to be honest, i cant wait for it.  it will be interesting.  At least until the population comes back.    Remember, be the plane na na na na na nananananananaaaaaa

when a player in A GA begins his game and doesn't even think to go after ground targtes your game became broke... adding tailgunners that do 20-30 damge a hit agiisnt fighters.....german GA that go as fast as fighters ....it seems every step we have gone to accommodate GA into something that has to be able to kill fighters and survive..i beg to doffer GA are for GA and if a team doesn't prtotect GA they should die with EASE...... the hitpoints given to these planes is unreasonable the speed is ridiculous the tailgunner is beyond laughable ...all createing a near invincible plane against any fighter or multi role......Only a heavy can take them...and now everyone flys GA or hheavy you cant fly a tier V yak against a IL-8 or IL-10 u will NEVER KILL one ever.....

I cant tell you how much I long for a match of p-51s vs 109s... vs 190s  BUT you have given heavies characteristics they never had....... they built only 1000 410s and 33000 `109s...I guarantee in real life a group of 109s would stomp any group of 410s with ease and not lose a plane but in this game.... nothing but fake plane stats,,,, FAKE capability...

Hartman and rall would blow a IL-2 with tailgunner down in ONE single pass..... in this game..IL with 800 hit points tailguns the 109 to death

if this game had no flights and no GA and  or modeled the planes based on histricle fact instead of fake altitude bands.....youd have players....instead u stick 2 of the best players on one team they stmpo people and do it over and over..the beta had 3-6k players as soon as u let teams in the game broke..then u continued to make GA invincible....and heavies with insane climb and altitude capabilities.

FIX

reduce heave maneuvering by 1/2 and heavy energy retention should go to zilch on any turn or pull up

reduce GA tail gunner accuracy by  90%  I hit at 10% how can a tail gunner and aa hit at 100%

gA should bleed speed and have manuverabuly cut by 95%

finaly have you played your own game  have u seen everyone flying these FIGHter craft with 1600 hitpoints? YOU don't think its ridiculous?  bombs used to bomb fighters NOT targets... your game is off the hook...tpeople want to play WW II fighters NOT battleships in the skys....

Before complaining, look at my summary below.

Ok. 1st, you got a clostermann medal with your Lbsh  (Look who's talking)

Second, Max Kill in your IL2  is 4. :honoring: Nice job you did there

3rd, you had 26 battles in your Bsh2 and you have 26 kills in it, too.

4th, I studied again, you dont have any ILs above Tier 6. :sceptic:

5th, Most of your rocketeer medals were achieved in GAAs.:playing:

6th, you have only had 3 thunders :hiding:

7th, you have only had a clostermann medal, which was achieved in LBSH:D

Thats all? Yeap. Thats all. You don' t need to comment about my stats, I know I sucked, but...:P the thing i wanna say is, You dont have much battles in your GAAs,how would you know the pain of a GAA pilot?:sceptic:  And, your battle results proved that you are using your GAAs to kill planes too, then why are you complaining about the Rear gunner, and the few only remaining advantages of a GAA?!
