Hello pilots,

Per Caffan's post here, the following table is what I understand to be the final Victory Point totals:

Spoiler

In my discussion with GeorgePatton before the event, there will be a total of 200,000 gold distributed based on the formula from the rules:

R = VP (200,000 ÷ TVP)

Where:

R = Clan Reward (in in-game gold) Paid to Clan Treasury

VP = Clan Victory Points

TVP = Total Victory Points Accumulated by All Clans

With 425 total VP: 200,000 ÷ 425 = 470.5882 = 471 (I'll round up)

Thus, the final formula comes out to this:

R = VP * 471

As such, here are the final gold payouts for the CCWB:

Spoiler

Gold will be credited to Clan treasuries within 7 business days.

Ib4 rage over payouts undeserved.

Congratulations to all the Victors! I suppose it won't be hard to divi out the winnings between the pilots chosen for the 1v1's.

You know, WS ourselves didn't fully agree with Caffan's VP calculation (here) since we question if clans can pull off their territories post attack declarations the way they did.  However, we realized that would cause a huge mess and fight, so we left the calculation as straight forward as could be.

My point to say this is -  we may all have issues with the way this event was run (beginning to end) but lets just call it done.

Vegan - I will say WG did benefit by this too.  I know many who ended up spending gold on xp for tier X planes....so it will be nice to have more tier X players out there.

WS has learned a lot from this event, and we are a step closer to being prepared for future real clan wars - if in fact its coming in 1.9 as suggested.  For the few games we did play, it was a lot of fun.  How often do we get tier X 15v15 matches?  Overall, the event had some positive things come out of it.  Unfortunately, it will most likely be remembered for much of the negativity which plagued it at the end.

Honestly, a simple clan "league" with scheduled games etc would have probably gone just fine...and I know everyone would have had more fun playing in actual games.  This community wasn't ready to self-manage an event that featured more diplomatic happenings than games.  Too much effort was made to specifically handy-cap one clan in its participation to start.

Thank you veganzombies and Wargaming.  Congrats to all the winners.  Yes it was a complete disaster, but at least we did see it through.  Now maybe Wargaming will do something completely different. :hiding:

Congratulations to all clans that participated, win or lose.

I was very pleased to see this second iteration of CCW supported by WG with a gold payout.

pardon my ignorance, but what would a clan use gold for?

i left before clans were introduced, so...

does WG charge a lil sump'n to run a clan, like rent and utilities?

god knows our officers deserve to get paid a bit, for handling all the little details and answering pesky questions

honoring all those who fought, and especially all those who fell
