I recieved an offer for a free upgrade to Windows 10 when it is available. Free! Of course, I jumped on it. Current status is awaiting the day, apparently 29 July. My current OS is Windows 7. Can someone inform if this upgrade is a bad idea, for now, in regard to WoWP? Should I be happy to start using Windows 10 for WoWP?

Got the same offer on my lap-top. I have windows 10 on my tower at home and WoWP runs fine on it. However that tower came with windows 10 and I loaded WoWP onto it. The question is when WoWP it is already loaded, will changing the operating system effect it?

You can't just "change" you operating system, As far as I know you will have to format your system (everything on your PC gets deleted) and then you re-install everything

not from the upgrade...only on new install of windows do you reformat.

I have been beta testing Windows 10 for a year now.  Never had a problem running WOWP, WOT, or WOWS with it.  Clean installs though.

The only issues I know the W10 testers have had has been drivers which should be fixed by the time it launches. This does look like a good upgrade.

I've been testing Win 10 for while as well and definitely thinking of upgrading my home computer but wanted to be sure WoWP would work.  Thanks for the affirmation guys!

I bit the low hanging fruit and now have problems with extreme lag in both warplanes and tanks. I dont think the drivers were mature enough when I finally ran the entire upgrade suite. I am so frustrated with the product that I know I will have to uninstall and reinstall both applications. Just very frustrating.

I just tried to do that and was told that you will need 14 GBs to change back.

After I installed Windows 10 never opened and the game is loading the hangar indefinitely without opening. Does anyone have any solution?

Does the problem also happen when just in windows or is it only in warplanes?

If it's in warplanes, then you may want to check the in game settings.

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent

For anyone still having issues here - your best bet is a true clean install.

However, you need to validate your hardware for the upgrade, first - so you do indeed get your upgrade (and keep for life of your hardware); but you will need to upgrade your OS as it stands, then create media, and then use that media to wipe your drive clean, reformat, and reinstall...  effectively a true clean install.

Time is running out for the free upgrade:

PM me if you need guidance.  Here is a good YouTube video that walks you through the entire process.
