The version of the Stuka that is currently in the game was a Tank Buster that did not carry bombs. Perhaps they will do other bomb carrying versions in the future.

So the beach ball size round shooting gun/guns aren't enough?

I hope lesson learned.  I don't buy any plane until going through the tech tree and compare and make sure what I am getting is worth it.

Like Obamaphone said, those 37mm are killers on gts you have to work with them on planes.

there were two main stuka cersion: the ones that had guns, and the ones with bombs. the bomb ones, after you drop your explosives, you got 2 30.caliber machines guns for the rest of the game. cant do much. with the gun stuka, you have 2 37 mm. cannons, which can be used for the whole game. im almsot positive the 37's were never mounted on a bomb stuka

The tank-buster Stuka is so much better than the dive-bombing Stukas.

With the dive-bombing Stuka you get, at the very best, a single 250kg bomb and a handful of 50kg hand-grenades. The 50kg bombs are completely useless outside of tier 2, and a single 250kg bomb won't get you far.

The stock version of the Ju-87G has two 20mm cannons in the wings, but once you upgrade to the derp cannons, THEN you get the huge gondolas.

Wargaming is sticking to the " no bombers " in game policy.

Some JU 87 G could carry up to about 4000 lb of bombs but without the gun pods. It had no dive flaps so it could not function as a dive bomber, but as a regular freefall bomber. I think they should give the option to mount gun pods or bombs. Ref here.

Which doesn't apply to Stukas, Dauntlesses and other two-man "bomber" type aircraft.

If you don't believe me, let me introduce you to my little friend, the Wirraway.

The Wirraway, I'm convinced, was a test of the feasibility of agile lightly armed bomb carrying "attack" aircraft.

We had Hs-129, isn't that enough?

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent

WG's definition of "bomber" doesn't seem to include dive bombers...so it would have to be something else, for now.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
