After further testing with the f94 I did find it easier to crack a ship shooting the rear hull as it took less gun time. I think they messed with the ship hit boxes since the last time I played regularly & needed to crack ships with rockets. Shooting the front or rear of the hull used to work the same but now I think Yagos's advice on shooting the rear hull is the better choice.
I was just going by the way dity used to do his speed runs where the slowest he was going was about 500 kph & would bang out each ship using guns & 2 rockets in one pass.
500 kph with 2 rockets is easily achievable, maybe even with the smaller rockets if you get enough guns.
I have noticed with the f-94 that if you come in at a bit of a steep angle vs on the water and your guns and rockets hit the deck of the ship, right at the back where that AA is, the ship pops more often than not. If i come in along the water, the ship doesn't always pop.
I showed this during the live stream last night, got 2 out of 3 ships with guns and 1 rocket blast. the 3rd took 2 rockets. then I had to take out the GA or I would have got a chance to go for 2 more ships. The f-94 is definitely a game changer when you are facing a flight of GA hiding once they have supremacy. Taking out 6 ships would force them out of hiding for sure, and it will also eliminate most of the AA protecting them.
