I just finished my Spreadsheet on Tail Gunner Information via Google Sheets.

Use this link to get to the spreadsheet:

WoWp Tail Gunner Information

WoWp Tail Gunner Information - Printer Friendly

I broke down the Tail Gunner's Firing Arc, with color coding, their max ranges, and tier.  You will also notice below with the sheet tabs I have also broke it down into Alphabetical, UK, USSR, Germany, and Japan.

I will update this spreadsheet as more planes comes into WoWp that has Tail Gunners and as long as the information still accessible.

Thanks Doc, most of my favorite planes have a TG. This is helpful.

Can someone please explain to me again why the IL-40 tail gunner isn't OP especially since it sees tier VII?

Nice work, btw.

Sorry but I get "Blocked by Google Toolbar" when I click on you link.  Is there another method of posting this I would like to see what you came up with.

Disregard I opened it in another window works fine.  Great information.  Thanks Dr. S

I wonder why Google Toolbar would block it, its part of Google Docs lol.  At least you were able to do a work around.

Did you ever figure out what the number of barrels mean, in relation to damage stats?

For example,  either the blenhem does  36 damage per barrel, or 18 per barrel.

Either way, it seems like an odd change in damage jumping to the beauf.   So, is it a massive increase at 4x45 (unlikely)?   If not, then the number of barrel figure is meaningless and all that matters is the total damage.

blenhem    7.7    36 (2)
beauf         7.7    45 (4)

Seems simple, but, then look at a different example.

In this case either its the total damage that counts, in which case the tier 3 has more than double the firepower.   OR, its 18x2 =, resulting in 36 damage on the tsh2, and a rather small firepower increase jumping to tier 3, which seems plausible.

tsh 2    7.62    18(2)
tsh3    7.62    41

It would be nice to know for sure that number of barrels stat was meaningless.   Or, does it have other hidden variables, ie affecting accuracy, overheating etc??

Another stat that is listed is RPM.   Again, why does this stat matter?   I guess a higher RPM gives you more of a feeling for when the enemy is in your arc?  Is that the only effect?    Yes, I realize RPM might tie into the muzzle velocity issue, but, I think back when I looked at it before, it did not seem to correlate in any clear way.

Another question, does muzzle velocity affect accuracy.  I have not seen that stat listed, but assume it might be in there somewhere.

Very cool information.. the more you know about this the better.

One question, in WoT there are folks who created mods to show the angle against an object depending from where you are seeing it..  is there one for WoWP where you can see those angles and thus "avoid" the cone of death of each of those Tail Gunners?

Can you add range for tailgunner with range perk and tailgunner without?

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

I think it would be technically possible to do that with the target window at the bottom of the screen, since it shows relative position of target to you... so the thing could just turn red when in arc, based upon plane type.

Would that mod be legal? that's another matter.

I would if I knew what the actually % increase is with the perk at 100% skill.

Ok, so looking at this WoWp Blog back in 7/23/14:

http://blog.worldofw...d-of-warplanes/

Long Reach is 20% increase at 100% skill.

Updated Spreadsheet with Long Reach Data and added in Feet values.
