Okay, seeking a little advice - have been playing since Open Beta and every time there is an update I have to redo the settings for my mouse. Things are not getting better, but worse. Now every time I attempt an evasive maneuver (to avoid a 'rammer' or allude a fast turning fighter) I temporarily lose control of my aircraft or sometimes even find my aircraft flying directly toward me. So, what are some of the best mouse settings that some of you are experiencing? Nothing like that helpless feeling when your just hanging in space, and you know its just seconds before that ruthless 109 has you locked on, with their finger on the trigger!

I've used mouse since early open beta, and I've never had the problems you're describing. While the mouse settings were fiddled with a lot in early open beta, once they were worked out then they've barely been touched. Definitely not every patch like you're describing.

Perhaps the problem is something else. Particularly the part about you sometimes seeing your own plane behind you in major maneuvers sounds like it may be a render speed issue. What is your usual fps and ping. Ping sounds like the most likely culprit to me.

I joined 1.1 and I've always used stock mouse settings other than key bindings. Though I will say this patch for some reason I've had issues of the aircraft not responding the way it should (last night my spitfire for some reason went into a climb and would not nose back over so it climbed till it stalled for a 109 to waste it, was not happy and I know it wasn't ping or fps) which  couple with the energy change they made a couple months ago is irritating. Otherwise, I got nothing.

I would lean more to what Blizzard36 said about fps and ping.  Had the same issue with lag because of high ping.  Plane was sluggish on movement and when I pressed the fire button, the guns would start firing after I released the button and continue firing for the period I held the fire button down resulting in hitting friendlies as well.  Had to quit and restart and sometimes had to wait awhile before trying again.

Are you a left handed mouser or right ?

Are you playing on a laptop or tower ?

I am a left handed mouser on a laptop.

I use a cheap laser wifi mouse, disable the laptop mouse.

The key commands are bound to the right side of the laptop starting in the KEYPAD.

In game settings for mouse are, I don't really know been so long since I checked.

IMO the best way you could use your mouse is to click the following link then click "add to cart". http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Extreme-Joystick-Silver-Black/dp/B00009OY9U/ref=sr_1_16?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1427046193&sr=1-16

The fact that you sometimes see your own plane behind you when you do rabid maneuvers is why I think it's most likely ping related. That usually happens the game is trying to render what you're doing, but isn't sure where you are in the process of what your'e doing because it hasn't gotten that info from the server yet.

Funny :-)

However, I bought this exact same JS for WoWP and ended up reverting back to the mouse. That was back in 1.3, I don't know if the JS controls were bad then and got better or I just play badly with a JS.

Here's what I'm using:

A more detailed (if slightly dated) explanation of my rationales for these can be found here:

http://forum.worldof...ngs-guide-video

Although I put this together a long time ago I've had several people tell me in game that it's still what they use.

You'll also want to bind A + D keys to left and right roll.  Designating a pitch up key (I use space bar) is a good idea too.

This is what I use.  Now Automatic flaps and level off rate that present in the pic is what I use for TnB planes.  BnZ automatic flaps is off and level off rate is 10%.  It's all personal preference.  Now "Target Tracking adjustment" helps me with how I want to play the game.  Basically, the game flies the plane to the camera point.  You whip the camera around 180 degrees to the plane behind you and it will try to fly to that point. It won't to do that if it's off.  It will but all movement is lazy and exaggerated and sometimes the plane won't respond to a quick 180 degree camera rotation.  My explanation is probably not the best but it is the best I could give.
