The I-16-29 was a recent giveaway plane for completing missions. That's how many of us have acquired the majority of our premium planes. No $$ involved, just completing a few missions. Pay closer attention to the events happening in game and you can get some nice free stuff.

:honoring:

i do. but as it stands...with fps of 12 and pings in the upper 100's and packet loss happening at 150..i am limited in when i can try for these events. i do what i can..when when i can...i am currently on my parents satellite internet as i am at their home with my son for the holidays...the speed test i just did put my ping at 728, upload is 21.56 and download is 28.71....in no way is that even remotely playable until i get home.  in which case, i would be out 6 days of this event.

Thread revived upon request for the instructional aspect of the first post.

Thanks again GP!

:honoring:

and as an update...

                "battles": 25974,
                "frags": {
                    "total": 34877,
                    "ramming": 1686,

I have also added a new quest - a bomb kill in every plane that can carry a bomb. Each new plane gets you a Bombardier medal

As you can see, I'm up to 49 different planes I have used to get a bomb kill. Not done yet....

Okay last Bombardier update for a bit. I have 184 planes in my hangar. 77 of those planes have the ability to carry a bomb. Until I buy another bomb-carrying plane, my mission is complete.

77 Bombardier Insignias

:honoring:

Mission Complete! I now have a Bombardier Insignia in every plane out of the 191 in my hangar that can carry a bomb. The 4 tier 10s I still need to buy can't carry bombs. The set is complete.

Spoiler

While I can't get any more Bombardier Insignias, I haven't abandoned my love for bomb kills.

While rocket kills are indeed more realistic to a combat scenario, baiting someone close enough for a bomb kill is an art form. You may not be impressed by nor respect that art form, but your dissenting opinion does not mean that the bomb killer didn't work harder than the rocket killer for his quarry. Personally, I respect hard work. Rocket kills tend to be opportunistic, while setting someone up for a bomb kill takes planning and precise execution to be successful. To each his own.

That said, if you fly near me when I have bombs, expect to explode.

There's a quick look at how little skill it takes to bring down a GA.

Cheers!
