You say joystick controls,
Controls
- Video tips added next to several control setting menu items
Mouse
- Some key assignments were changed for the default "Mouse" settings
- Added the possibility to fine-tune the mixing of the roll and pitch commands, which can be input with the keyboard and the mouse at the same time
- We fixed the display of control elements upon using the "Back camera view" (Default "Q"). The controls are now rightfully inversed when looking behind your plane in this view
- Increased responsiveness of the "Automatically roll in turns" function for horizontal turns
- Reduced longitudinal trembling of the reticule in turns
- Improved the "Target tracking adjustment" function
- Improved parallax consideration when aiming
- Improved control when orienting the camera to the backward hemisphere of the plane
- Fix for the problem of turn interruption on the "Hybrid" controls setting
Gamepad
- When rolling, the input from the triggers gets treated collectively, nullifying any movement if both triggers are pressed to the same extent at the same time. However, if you map any other command to the same triggers, both commands will be executed even if pressed at the same time and will not nullify each other.
But I don't see it in the patch notes?

Finally Very promising update.
In my opinion mouse control almost back to pre 1.5 conditions, I will say for sure after test with "normal" ping.
And this alone will make this update very good

That was a short test,
unfortunately I only played a few matches on the CT server, didn't much care for the new sounds a whole lot.

Someone actually caught on to this in the game and now I will have to re-learn it.

I'm still not happy about the Mulit-Role Fighters. These existed in beta under the tag "Carrier-Based Fighters" and YOU merged them into Fighters for good reason. They really just aren't different enough. You removed ordinance from some of the fighters and left them as fighters and left them on or added them to others and call them MRFs. Any MRF that truly does MR (tries to ground attack) will just be a burden to the team, just like any fighter and most heavy fighters now. One or two arguably useless bombs (I never mount ordinance on anything but GAA at the moment because they are more likely to get me killed than to help us win) does not a different playstyle make.
For example, the A7M and the J7W1 have identical playstyles and are even on the same line, but now are different classes. Heck, the Tier I Japanese plane isn't even the same class as the only Tier II. Most of the new MRFs had their stats tweaked slightly, at most, from their old values, and none of those changes seem coherent in creating a new class of plane. These changes just make it harder to use crew in premiums, or to move them around from plane to plane. Maybe that was the goal?
I tried the CT server and the rest of the patch is pretty good, except for maybe the sounds.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they made it so that now premiums can be used to train crews without a penalty regardless of class.

I think this might be the first client that I don't bother backing up for replays, but I always copy the entire WoWp folder to my storage drive. Until they're able to make replays backwards compatible I believe you need the entire client as it is to watch them, not just specific files.

I know what you mean about hesitating to save them. In the first place, have flown fewer battles during this patch than any other time period, and then have had more than a fair share of not too stellar performances.
I will copy the entire WoWP folder over to my backup, external drive tonight as you recommended. Good thinking. Thanks
