Down Loading now.  I hope that I still have a game to play.  1.5 was the beginning of a death spiral.

Giving feedback for low-medium performance comps:

 

1.6 CT Graphics Optimization has worsened restricting low-med end comps from achieving 40+ Frames. Not sure what changed. Can't seem to find it anywhere in the 1.6 patch notes. Previous Clients, including 1.5, graphics optimization was average and low-med end comps could get 30-40+ Frames @ Lowest settings.

 

Explanation for this would be appreciated gunlion. Thanks!

 

Will continue to chug along 1.6 RU Test with 400+ Ping and 15-20 FPS Lawls.

 

EDIT: And this may very well end up in me investing on a new computer :veryhappy:

General background sounds are annoying, guns sound like a gun fight at the OK coral. Engine sounds as though it is in need of oil.

 

lL-40 rear gunner is exceptional to the point of ridiculous, and the AA's are OP.

 

MM still takes a long time, no change noticed there.

 

Word of advice, don't get the Me 209 A

 

JS users will have to tweak controls and reticule is for some reason floating.

 

Nice visuals, explosions and such.

Only had time for 2 games.  Heavy Fighter and Attack Fighter.  But with only 2 games under my belt I will have to say it is one big step in the right direction from 1.5.  I will try and have some more detail feed back over the next week.

I just did a 4 GB update from the CT server, and now a 5GB update that is behind that one too? Wat? :amazed:

To clear WoWP Cache -Please press the windows key + r to open the 'run' dialog. Then type in %temp%\wargaming.net Then delete the "wowp" folder. This will clear the game cache

Very nice improvements WG, well done.  Will play more and get more detailed. later  It feels good and everything seems to be as it was back in the 1.4 or earlier days.  The sound gets strange, but no big deal. Guns sounds should feel like there from the aircraft, not sound like their bouncing off the mountains.  Otherwise, great job.

Just played a few battles, but here it goes....

 

Good:

-Nice new sound of machine guns

-MiG Line!

-Fill with bots

 

Cons:

-Better graphics, low FPS (from 50~60 to 20~30).... I want to play not to see jpegs

-Japanese line is swapped in my opinion: Zeros = Multirole fighters (carried bombs and torpedoes) J7WX = Fighters (were designed to be interceptors not ground pounding)

-Cannon sound is low and don´t make you feel you shooting a powefull gun, instead some party poops, current sound is better.....

2 issues:

1- It is taking too long to play. I am choosing Tier 6, 7 or 8 and waited over 16 minutes on a tier 7 at/around 10:20pm EST on October 13.

2- The sound of the battlefield was still playing after the battle was over.

Personally, I prefer the term 'Fighter-bomber'. Multirole sounds pretty modern. Glad to see the MiG-15 is finally here, though I feel that it should have been in WoWP from the very beginning.

Ditto for #1.   With the low population it is imperative that you cap the time in matchmaker.  On regular server, balance is king.   On test server, things need to flow faster at the cost of that exacting balance, or nobody actually plays and nothing gets tested.

Dreaming of better days.  When this game had full matches, fiery dogfights, and hope for the future.

The moving aiming cursor on the joystick control makes it just about impossible to stay on target to a maneuvering plane.  I wish there was a choice for the original aiming cursor that moves in relation to the plane.

Dread, I'm not being pulled away from the NA server cuz I quit playing two battles after the last patch.

 

I agree, I don't like the sound of the guns in this version. and the tracers are too big.
