With the CT being held in the RU region, it is virtually unplayable because of the latency.  I am averaging 150-225 latency.    Nothing can be done with this because of the distance involved from the east coast to whenever the server is located at.  How are we to compare the CT with what we are used to on our own server if the same plane performs totally differently than what we are familiar with?

 

Could this be one of the biggest reasons why the devs seemingly abandoned us because there's no use for us in NA to even bother with CT, therefore not having any input from NA and leaving RU to have all the input.

 

How hard would it be to clone the CT in the RU region and give us a CT in NA region?  Sure it would mean having a little more cost each month, but if it grows the population then I would think it would be worth it.

Just a note when I loaded the game , I am getting horrible feed back in sound , I had to mute the in game voice messages to get rid of it !

Always love new planes, lots of gold, and xp.  The new sounds are too muted for my tastes.  Also MM seems to be confused on who to put where.  I have spent over 5 minutes in one tier V group that had 24 players, when the game finally loaded the game was 3 on 3.?????

What happens with respect to those who have researched and invested into the weapons that will be lost in 1.6? I am speaking of the underwing gun pods for 109's, etc.

Is there some form of compensation that will be returned to the player, or is it just tough titty, that's the way the cookie crumbles?

On the 1.5 there were unanimous reports early only about problems but nothing changed in the live version.

 

Can we hope that CT feedback might be listened to this time?

Dread, The more to test and comment will help.

Be glad that there is a chance for a change. Get on the test server and help.

I am downloading it now.

Rock18, As stated already, the more to test and comment, may help with changes that are needed.

We can at least try. I know I will be.

Doublespook,

Back when WG made changes to ammo, fuel, and weapons mods, We did get compensated for the changes.

So that may happen again.

A few things.

 

First:  I love the new sounds and UI improvements.

 

Second: Hidden Airbase should never ever host a tier 4/5 game.  That is a big map, and its way TOO big with lower tier, slower planes.  If tier 10's play on it (and they do) then tier 4's should not be.

 

Third:  The Yak-3RD is...well, it needs some work.

 

Fourth:  The multi-role classification is a joke.   There are good reason the carrier role was dropped in beta and this is one of them - you just messed with everyone's premiums.  If you are doing that, you need to be doing refunds for those players who will find that their Corsair pilot can not longer fly their Corsair premium. 


Dreaming of better days.  When this game had full matches, fiery dogfights, and hope for the future.

When I logged in I was given a banner with a free XP and silver amount listed as "compensation for changes" - they didn't say which ones, so I don't know if it will be for what you are asking, but yes, it looks like some is given for...well...for something anyway.

 

ETA:  Just looked - one place it looks like we are getting compensation from - with the changes to multi-role, the 109's lost their ability to carry rockets.  So we probably got a refund from at least that.

Okay so, things so far not sure where they go -

 

Audio -

1. I'm not sure what this sound in the background of the hanger is, but it's annoying as hell. It sounds almost like radio static.

2. weapon sound - honestly not overly thrilled by it. It sounds like what you here in old WW2 movies but muffled.

3. I find the various sound changes as the plane maneuvers sorta weird, not 100% sure how I feel on them.

 

Visual

 

I find the very large almost like fireworks impacts distracting.

 

More to come as I do more - I found a bigger fish to fry

Yes, I saw that banner but thought it was a small boost to our "bank" to help us get started testing planes we don't have, such as the Mig-3. Anyway, no big deal I guess, was just wondering.

 

As for the sound, mine seems just weird as heck. In the hangar, I hear some strange garbled clicking sound. No music, nothing. In battle, the sound of the guns sound like regression, not progress. I don't know, maybe my download was contaminated somehow, but the sound isn't right, that's for sure.

The ping rate is so high on that test server, I am afraid it's going to be near impossible to give a fair evaluation of the new control characteristics. I cannot determine if it's just the high ping rate or unsatisfactory controls, but it is not good compared to our current patch on the NA server. While I am not the greatest player in the game, I have struggled to shoot down just one airplane in six battles on the test server. I am never THAT lame on the NA server with the current patch, so I am a little skeptical at this point.

As for the new Mig-3, I like it so far. If I could test it on the NA server, I would know for sure, but it looks like it's going to be a winner.

Multi-role class and other such changes were poorly implemented. Oremium planes like the XF4F and XF4U and similar aircraft can no longer be used by their "previously same class" counterparts.

 

Im sorry, but if you're going to do this right, shouldnt you just put them back to Carrier Based for the ones that used to be? And make sure their corresponding premiums are also reclassed appropriately?
