How do you like the updated El Halluf?

We have made some changes to the ground targets and superiority scale in Update 1.6, as well as an alteration to El Halluf. The changelist is as follows: 


El Halluf

  • Extended the size of the battlefield


Ground Targets

  • High-altitude anti-aircraft guns were added for all maps
  • Some small ground targets were replaced with larger ones to make shooting at them easier
  • HP for armored ground target components reduced
  • Ground target total HP increased for tier VIII-X battles



  • The rate at which the Superiority scale filled was decreased by 10%.

I have noticed that in national park if I am in a flight of 3 and get matched up against 3 solo players, the solo players start scattered while my flight starts in one point.

High-Altitude AA is an awesome idea, it will emphasize the GAA job and get them low with their noses down supporting the team as they should. Even if they do choose later in the game to come up for air. However, if the AA is shooting higher than 1500 meters I think it's a bit drastic.. Especially with some planes struggling to get that high in earlier tiers. Would not be against an AA scaling as the Ground target health pools.


I'm indifferent on the GT's being larger, as I didn't have an issue hitting them before. I don't think they necessarily should have been made larger and had their HP reduced, as that seems to be a double nerf? Just do one or the other.


In regards to the HP increase, of course targets should have more HP as you move up the tiers. The only time this comes into question is cross tier platforms when you have an IL-20 attempting to keep up with a 40. Maybe do an average between the two tiers when two cross tier GAA are in the game. I truly hope the ships were not touched, as they're already give me kills as they are.


What is broken with the superiority scale? Again I am unable to log-in to see the changes, but the superiority scale seems to be working as planned right now. Allowing huge shifts in balance of superiority depending on what's going on in the game. While at the same time allowing dominance late in the game instead of extending it another 5 minutes because of a full reset.

It was not better in 1.5 (which was terrible), but it is still awful and "Great! It's just about perfect, now" is not accurate in the slightest.

Mountains are OP. Nerf plz.

I really like the changes.  In the lower tiers I feel less like a sitting duck trying to take out armored GTs.   At the higher tiers, a little less enthusiasm.  Were the GAs armor reduced?  The AA seems to be doing more damage than before.

Yep. Recent Superiority system is total bull crap.

You have to reduce speed at least twice, I have not even noticed that you changed something.

Comments for El Halluf:

1) The map has been expanded along all edges (by about 1 grid square), which is nice, but the targets remain compressed into the same area.  There is not much incentive to go out to the edges right now.  Perhaps a few targets could be added out there to make it more interesting, as if a convoy or tank column is approaching the engagement zone.

2) Were those a set of 4 pyramids in the background?  I was not aware that this map was near Giza....


High-altitude AA:  TBH I did not notice their effect much.  What altitude do they shoot up to exactly?


Ground targets:  Expanding the hitboxes slightly is very welcome, there seemed to be an occasional issue with the heavy cannons (57mm) hitting all around the targets for no damage before


Superiority: not much to comment on here, as most of the games I ran ended in team death rather than superiority.  That said, slowing the progression is welcome: it will probably need constant tweaks as more patches come out.

I really don't see how you guys can give any feedback on the CT when the ping is so high that its next to impossible to play. My ping averages 210 t0 245 and I have heard of other players with higher ping. LOL

Depends on connection, mines only just over 100 so I can play ell enough.


More on topic I was actually skeptical of the HP changes actually working but they actually fixed the issues with armoured targets mostly. The land based fortifications are still a bit of a pain but the larger targets and health being lowered while still some what of a challenge are easier to destroy. Fairly close to 1.4 targets in terms of difficulty. Though, not sure if it's actually easier to destroy the targets with the 23mm or the 37mm cannons. seems like the rate of fire and the faster cooldown/lower overheat of the 23 mm cannons makes them better suited for all combat forms.


Not sure if its the high altitude guns, or some other changes, but AA guns need to be dialed back to 1.5. Whats the point of trying to hit a GT in a multi-role if you get blasted out of the air by AA, particularly ones like the Hurricane that don't have bombs.
