Want to know how to make any map better?

Enlarge it.

 

Relax, I know it won't happen.

You want a funnel map to furball in, not open airspace to maneuver with.

And speed the game pace up via superiority rate so much that it ends before all the planes on one side have been shot down more often than not.

Now (1.5), not only is there no room to flank the enemy, there's no time to do it in either.

I find it very frustrating to have the game end when so many targets still exist (both air and ground) and/or I have a doomed pilot in my sights when it ends...

TERRIBLE design. You took one of my favorite maps and made a near copy of one of the worst maps in the game (fjords).

This, the new map is horrid for us sky whale drivers. If we go center with the furball with the new view range we are spotted and slapped down like a red headed step child. If we go off on our own there are no friendlies to cover us and we still get slapped down like a red headed step child, it just happens a little later. If you are flying the BSh-2 or the IL2 no-mod, no-t you have no defense with the bomb nerf.


I used to have a handle on life until it broke off.

or even more so the GAA approaches gives very little time in aiming. This is tougher than the old map.

If you make to pass the map center you end between unidentified (mercenaries?) antiaircraft fire

New National Park map from a RU WoWP developer's POV:

 Alteration of the park - Banks of fun with flies [Explicative Deleted]  (Note: FVE - well I wont go into why the flys are there)


The first negative is obvious at once - a long time to fly to the fight. Slow machine reaches the center of the map in a minute after liftoff. Very similar to the tanks with the worst hand. Another minus - spaced far apart re-spawns, which do not allow groups to unite in one gang.

 

This implies several items:

 

1 Due to the fact that crawl to the other group does not work, players are forced to fly blankly ahead - every fight in his place. Sadly. Dimensions of the map are comfortable for fast whistles, but 4-5 levels it does not fit.
2 As a result, on the map are three unrelated fights 5x5 (not always, more on that later). Result turns into a stupid lottery.
3 Composition fighting fives is not associated with REP and 5 storms in the same team may fall 5 TI on the other hand. With a predictable outcome for the battle as a whole.

4 Special [Explicative Deleted] map attached that players always REP link in one place, which leads to the fact that one "base" seven players on the other - three. The three chances to do something against five enemy aircraft very little.

5 Endgame messed up. Since different parts of the card is a different number of planes, then the advantage (superiority) ticks unpredictable. As a result, the final mix in the center of the map, is much closer to fly to all, who wish to fly and shoot often do not reach.

 

In general, the configuration of the card is idiocy for players who can not clearly manage their own even if only in the style of "all for chivalry." The current map - the one-armed bandit, in the best traditions of the casino having about 45-48% chance of winning for both teams. The remainder will be many draws.

 

He's right. The map need to be fixed or adjusted for only certain tiers, tier 6 to 10 perhaps?

This map has not even started growing on me. Every time it comes up when I am flying a sky whale I cringe because of the extreme channeling from the deep gorge and the bad approach lines to the targets. On the occasions I do fly a fighter or a heavy fighter I don't mind this map.

The design is horrible. Especially spawn. What map makes you spawn far apart from each other in three groups?

And by the time you group up, enemies are killing you.

Hopefully WG files this map under "failed experiments."  They took a trademark map that showed off all the wonderful furball glory that is the best thing about WoWp and turned it into a bizarre, aimless mess.

Fly tier 2 or 10, ONLY, like I do, and you wont ever see this map, like I haven't! But yeah, the map blows almost as hard as the new patch.
