The article has the pictures of the two maps mislabeled.
Now it's fixed.

Holy moly there's a lot going on here. I'm not sure if the "reduced... impact of extending flaps" means no net effect, and just more maneuverable without flaps (please don't be a nerf to my Beaufighter ). I hope somebody writes a concise guide to how strategy is now changed, if I have to figure that stuff out on my own it will take a loooooong time. Also - "increased dispersion in a dive"? I don't feel like that was necessary...

I think the patch is actually necessary for people who complete the event to receive their plane. The addition of the Meteor is listed in the notes.

And download time if it's a big one. But there's always a mission or something going on, they can't put it off forever.

Any idea on the size of the download? I'm on limited portable internet right now, depending on the size I might have to take a break on the month long mission till I get back to High Speed net.
I dont think it will leave me with enough time to complete the last mission

I think the patch is actually necessary for people who complete the event to receive their plane. The addition of the Meteor is listed in the notes.
Necessary? Likely not. More accurate? Most certainly. Especially on large calibre shells. They are aerodynamic, but not THAT much. Wind resistance, aircraft speed, gravity, muzzle velocity all have their effect. In an extreme dive(say more than 60 degrees, as an example), the wind vortices at the muzzle openings WOULD cause a bit more dispersion, plus wing shake as you pass optimum speed(for wing mounted weapons), buffeting of the aircraft, etc...
Now, I do not want any more dispersion. It is already hard enough to hit you squirrely bastards. But I can see where they are going with this. And frankly, with all the GOOD stuff coming in, I am willing to overlook this one thing.

Are you 100% sure? Original download was only 3GB for SD if I can remember right.
Where did you get this info from? Can you post a link?

I would be fine with that. I guess we could use a clearer definition on what constitutes a "dive" for the purpose of this rule. Is it just pointing your nose down? Pointed down and exceeding a certain speed?

glad this is going live... wish they would til' the month long mission is over though...
but hey what ever I don't work there...

a sharper, better polished landscape that strongly resembles the postcard view of actual national parks such as Yosemite aka Yosemite
