Hey,World Of Warplanes and fellow pilots,

I would like to propose an idea of game-play known as the Fighters Escort Bombers.

Firstly, It would be like the fighters escorting the Bombers, and the Bombers would be dropping their bomb load on a specific target (similar to strategic bombing in WW2).

Secondly, the fighters would escort the heavies till they meet an assault force coming from any direction, thus the escorting fighters would engage the incoming bandits. BUT, the assault force's task is to eliminate all the bombers dropping on the target.

Thirdly, there would be 17 bombers and the AI's would be flying the plane and move very slowly but at 1000-3000m [depending on which tier] (about 220km/h cruising speed) and eventually reach their target, BUT, at least 5 bombers must survive and reach their target in-order to win. In addition, the bombers can be damaged (eg.Damaged wing, tail, engines, fuselage, bomb bay, bombs, rear gunners or even destroyed) and would have a hp of 350-500hp (depending on what tier you're in).

Subsequently, If every escort plane is destroyed, then obviously the battle would continue till there would be 4 bombers remaining, If every assault plane is destroyed then the game is a win (for the escorts). Also, there would be around 15 or (depending how many planes as escort) for the assaulting planes and 14 escorts (since the bombers have the advantage to run and bomb their target.

Lastly, spawning the bombers and escorts would be away from the furthest point of the target ( probably on the edge of the map) and the assault planes, intercepting the bombing raid.

I would like to hear response from the devs and the gamers.

o7 and Good Hunting!

350-500 hp would be dead before they even knew what hit them.

I believe I am leaving it to them. They've already stated they're working on trying out the feasibility of such an escort mode.

How to win: Get ramtards and ram bombers!

Also, some fighters have extremely heavy firepower like the Yak 9U, so 500 health goes poof.

Get some fighters to distract them. Then ram the bombers. Also rockets.

Depending on the number of bombers, intercepting just a couple fighters could make the 1-1 trade of ramming a loss.

Also, as for health, it would likely scale - like that of GTs - depending on the tier of battle. Low tiers would be a few hundred, but high tiers would be a couple thousand. Not to mention every couple tiers the bombers themselves would change as well - going from Short Stirling to Flying Fortress to Bear, for example - with speed and altitude changing accordingly as well. (Although, I do suppose having a B-52 cruising near 15000m could pose a problem for the interceptors...)

I never said I was good.

USA needs GA too.

I have already seen this in many games, yes in WOWP matches.

It is called following and providing cover for your GA's.

It is simple really, if the fighters would fly out high above and in front of the GA's they could easily take out any of the in coming enemy.

Thus leaving the GA's to continue unmolested.

Of course the GA's would not be able to pub rush to their target's screaming " cover me ".

Same as the Heavies, they should fly high and take out any thing at high altitude.

THe best example of this game play is when all the enemy spot the GA going in headlong to his death and 8 enemy decide to attack the GA.

The friendly fighters behind the GA ( bait plane ) then attack the unaware enemy that gave up their altitude advantage.

I do not know if you have noticed but it takes twice as long to kill a GA than it does another fighter ( rockets and bombs not included ).

The theory of clearing tails only seems to work in about 50% of matches currently due to the variety of player base.

Granted you have a great concept and idea but lets try to get it right in the current state of the game first, or it would just be another disaster like in WOT.

You know the ASSUALT mode when the friendly only need to defend the base to win yet they still rush out to find the enemy and die.

SO many people just want to go and get a kill that they rush out into the thick of things and get slaughtered.

While new game modes would be interesting and add some variety...

...Honestly I'd rather they prioritize a few other things first.

As losttwo points out... we can't even get players to perform well in the standard kindergarten mode.

The place that I would like to see some new game modes first are in the Practice Rooms.

First and foremost, a Practice Mode where Superiority could be disabled.

For GAA wanting to practice Attack Strategy or experiment with run or route variations... it cannot be done solo.

The Bots won't kill GT to keep a balance so you only get a few GT before you win by Supremacy.

Kill one plane or just 2 or 3 GT and the practice session is over very quickly.

When attempting to use the Practice Room solo... you can only really just fly around without killing anything or your session ends right away.

This is fine for testing control settings, but as far as "practice" goes... it's no good.

The same really goes for Fighters even... kill a few Bots and the session ends pretty quickly.

 Thank you,

 - Zen

I like that that idea ZEN and agree that is something that is needed more than in game modes.
