I'm getting tired of this: One me 410 taking me, an IL-2t's  health down to 200, in one single pass. AND that's for full health. Most of the times I'm wounded and the me 410 kills me in one pass, I don't even have enough time to drop a bomb. Also, the me 410 has an OP rear gunner, probably stronger then the 2t's. (two 13.2mm duh). You probably know what i'm saying.

My avatar without the words.

Well, just be glad no one has one-shot killed you with a rocket or a bomb (if it hasn't happened already). It doesn't even take an Me-410 to do that, though he can carry rockets.

One of the jobs of a Heavy Fighter is to take down IL's. When they approach, try to steer into the opposite direction of his approach...in other words, head straight for him and fly under him. This will keep him from holding his guns on target as long. If you are travelling in the same direction he is going, he can take half or maybe even all of your health in one pass with his guns. He can also one-shot you with a rocket.

Blame 3cm guns.

Anything with 3cm guns will vaporize anything that is solidly within their sights. Fly less straight? 3cm guns tend to overheat pretty quickly when fired in full auto.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

Flying less straight may work, except, your still probably going to lose about 400 health. I cant split s with a IL.

Man....you have to learn to fly that plane like the true skywhale that it is!

Dodge those me's!

Some forum members here think I only fly lower tiers but the il's are my favourite plane some days.

Here's a bit of me flying my il's.

The first plane I allways look for on an enemy team is the il.

They are the priority for a kill, take them out and the supremacy counter stays low,

In a perfect game the fighters would protect the il's and you wont have me's screaming out of the heavens at mach 1 where a short burst will rip your hp to half.

But I feel your pain, the il-t now starts at the highest altitude ever(mine starts in the red) and diving for cover takes a lot of time and the me's allready have you lit up for a possible target by then.

You are flying a slow skywhale, try turning back to base and doing a loop around it and then head for your targets.

The il series are great planes but if your flying one remember you will be hunted big time by the enemy if they can find you.

IL's,kill them or get killed by them.

you need to watch my new video,on forums in fan art. She might be big n ugly...but fat girls need love too,my il's rock. As for my old ME410,p.o.s. as it was fully upgraded...not my favorite plane, got mad, got boozed up..and sold her ass the the scrap yard.I dont miss it at all..overrated hunk of metal.heres how il's are ment to be offensive, not just bombers ;) figured i make it easy to find this way.

See how I dodged that me?

Zoom and boomers will kill an il every time unless you dont give them that chance, dont give them a target flying in a straight line, you can move, they cant so much in a 550 kph dive.

Get your focus off the ground target and on the mini- map, that is your problem.

That is most of the ground pounder's problems I see in game.

So focused on hitting stationary targets yet on the mini map you have 3 one shot kills coming it from your 3 o'clock  but no you are not even going to try and take them out you want to take out that more important ground target.

Seriously, move the bus a little bit, roll, boost, flap anything. Stop flying straight and worrying about the ground target.

ITS OK TO TURN YOUR TAIL TO THE WIND, NOT THE ENEMY.

...dafuq's Split-S? I fly so low that Split-S will drive me down the drink when I use my Ilyushin.

Keep moving. Shaking nose around is never good for accuracy for the attacker.

Eggs are good, hit H for the bomb crosshairs,S for speedbrake and lay an egg on top of your tailgater,it feels even better after they take you down to allmost zero hp.

Exactly....Chuck has it exactly right.   Me410's don't bother me that much.  If they come after you, wag your tail to give your rear gunner good shots while being difficult for the 410 to keep a bead on you, hit the brakes all the way below 100 MPH if you have to, if he's below 200 ft like you and on your tail drop a bomb or two on him....No prob....Plus, even if he stays with you, the more trouble you give him, and the longer it takes for him to take you down, he is not up at altitude in the furball (aka beehive), which gives your fighters an advantage.....it's win win baby if a 410 comes after you...
