Congrats!!!  You got picked to be an Closed Beta Tester!!!!!   

First off, (you can imagine this in the classic "Dad voice") Remember that you agreed to keep quiet on what we're doing here, it's serious business and you will be held accountable.  

Yes you can say you've been picked, yes you can say it's a blast. Keep it there and you won't have any problems.

There are two important parts of being an Closed Beta Tester (AT) Flying is one, the other is ==>  You need to contribute via the forums.

A few suggestions to help with what you should do - and some stuff to help you not drive the devs and admins crazy.  

On the Forums

• Learn what the "SEARCH" function is, learn how to use it, and please do so.
  
• READ thru the posts
  
• Add your own posts (after you've searched to see if it's been brought up before)
  
• Learn what the "SEARCH" function is, learn how to use it, and please do so.
  
• Feel free to ask questions, that's what we're all here for.
  
• Look over the different Forum Areas and place your posts in the correct one
  
• Remember that we're here to TEST the games capabilities and funtions not just play

In Game

• Familarize yourself with all of the features of the hangar
  
• Familarize yourself with all of the controls (manual in forum - use SEARCH)
  
• Use the "Chat" window
  
• Check the "Messages" window
  
• Don't whine in the chat window
  
• Fly all of the planes
  
• If somebody is running a test on something, respect what they're doing.  (Hint- They'll post it in the chat window)
  
• Use the Forum (you're here if you're reading this - NICE!)

Now, go shoot a plane!

I think this is probably one of the most important tools a new player can use.  Since you have to earn credits to purchase new and higher tier aircraft the chat window is a huge help.  If you need help getting a tier 1 battle so you can earn credits all you need to do is ask.  In my experience, everyone is very helpful and willing to fly whatever tier people need to progress.

Not to mention some pretty good banter goes on in there...

Just ask and folks will point you to the highest scoring targets and YES people will also play target for you if need be, we are not here for the stats, we are here for the progression of the game so if you have any questions and can't find the answer in the forums, ASK we are all willing to help you out.

Note to new guys: before hopping in a standard battle, try a single battle first. This will decrease your loading time later, as well as help you become familiar with each plane without worrying about getting shot down. It's also better to do this if you're after a specific bug that can be recreated without having other players around.
