the chinese use curtiss hawk III used to have the external fuel tank wind cowl under the forward fuselage did it not? where did it go? from my knowledge, its not removable, being thats its built into the airframe. and really, it just looks silly and kinda awkward without it.

what happened?

I feel the same way. I noticed it not too long ago and PM'd gunlion about it but he doesn't know why it was removed either. I preferred the old look.
"It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area you just bombed."
"The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire."
The three most common expressions (or famous last words) in aviation are: "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" And "Oh S...!"
"Airspeed, altitude and brains. Two are always needed to successfully complete the flight."
Flying isn't dangerous. Crashing is what's dangerous.

Someone painted invisible paint over it?

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
