I like my <CENSORED> like I like my <CENSORED> ; aged <CENSORED> to <CENSORED> years and mixed-up with <CENSORED> .If you take fire from the spouse-AA about the former, launch flares and dump chaff: $$$visa$$$amex$$$vonKrimm2.png

If you do a google search on the image you come you with this:

2 different magazine covers using the same image, but it shows the wing better.  So this should help others to ID this plane.  I can tell its a Spitfire but what model I would not know.

Spitfire Mk V or later with Cannon and 2 MG each wing.

Highly likely that is intended to be a Spitfire Mark I seeing as it is being hounded by a Bf.109E with wing guns but no underwing gondolas.  That's my call on it if the two aircraft featured in that picture are supposed to be contemporaries.

If that is not the case I would believe it to be a Mark V as others have claimed.

Good hunting!  :honoring:

Spitifre Mk. IIb, Completely obvious by the rear-view mirror shape, and the shape of the engine in general, also the 1940 RAF scheme is a dead give-away.

I want one of those!

If you see me flying at you in a Tsh-2, make sure your my ally, or prepare for a face-full of incendiary bullets.
