Nice! I'll give you a tip when trying to speak Spanish. It sounds as it is written, so no crazy vowel combinations as in French or English. All vowels are short and all words are spoken clearly, unlike English.As for the "R", you might have a little problem, but my tip is to think of if as a "flapped T", like in "butter", If you find a double "R", as in "Ferrocarril", ir at the beginning of a word, think of the "R" as the sound of an engine.

That's right! Persistence. Assign yourself at least one hour a day and if you live in the US, try tuning Spanish-speaking TV stations, like Univisión or Telemundo. Your first impression will be, "Damn, they talk too fast", but you'll get the hang of it eventually. :bajan:
