Very good job, and lol at the 'don't hit your allies" video. :great:

I will be keeping a sharp eye out for you in game.

Not to sharp I hope.  I'm not quite good enough to handle being focus fired all the time =)

So how do you get that view in your videos?

I cant seem to get that far behind my plane with mine.

Great videos! I get at least one more kill most battles after watching some of your vids.

One more question though, why the roll and flaps when you redline at max alttitude?

I tried it in my i-16 qnd 17 and stabilized nice but in the ao it stalls and no amount of pushing my joystick across my desk and into my monitor will bring the nose down.

I am not sure, but I believe the view differences are the differences between keyboard/mouse and joystick controls.  I use my mouse wheel to zoom out and in with the display.

As for the roll and flaps, I was wondering if anyone would notice.  I'm not sure they do anything to help you along which is why I haven't mentioned it.  It's more of a OCD thing.  Technically, rolling and pulling up should allow you to get that turn done at a lower airspeed allowing you to milk that climb for all it's worth, but really, you should likely stop the climb a second earlier than I do anyways, I often stall on my climbs, which isn't productive, but it's at the start of the match, no enemy near so doesn't really matter.

Hope that helps!

Nice videos and thanks for the tips! Didn't know about the reduced throttle helping with boost cooldown, but it makes sense.

Your voice audio is a little low for me sometimes (gun sounds drown you out occasionally).

The boost tip is one that when I found it it was a eureka moment for me.  Very useful

The audio I believe is better on later videos, I record the narration afterwards now so the editing shifts takes care of volume.

Thanks for your feedback!

Updated today.  Added this video:  I would like to warn people that there might be light cursing in the videos where voice is recorded live.  Please do not watch if that offends you.

Spoiler

Thanks!

Guys, I'm going to edit out the posts in this thread and cease participation because I have been informed that making training video's without editing the teammates names out is NAMING AND SHAMING.

Hey Binestar,

Apologies on the confusion on naming and shaming. We have been going through some moderation changes and there may be a little bit of confusion, but we are working together to get everyone on the same page.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Note to all: Just to be clear Naming and Shaming is not the visibility of names; it is often the context in which names are used. Feel free to praise your fellow community members, but if you call them out to complain and the like then those will be hit.

I've taken the time to get my brother's copy of the fight I posted earlier.  I have set it up as a split screen here:

Spoiler

Was this worth my time?  Does anyone find it useful enough to use?

Uploading a new one.  This was a win in the Yak-1.  I've been amazed at the gun(s) on this thing.  1 20mm and 1 12.7 shouldn't be as good as they are in this.

The voice over is too quiet, I still have to turn my volume up to 100% (usually keep it below 50%).

Other than that, Keep up the good work! :great:
