Happy New Year, Pilots! Let's bring in this new year with more contests and chances to win gold! Inspired by the spring festival happening at the end of the month, this month we will be making paper planes. Think origami, Zhezhi, Jong-i, and kirigami. Let's bring in this new year with creativity and style.  This contest will run from now until January 31, 2014 at noon PST. Below you will find the rules:

  1. All entries must be made entirely of paper and adhesives. Get creative!
  2. Entries must have you in-game name in the picture.
  3. You may submit more than one entry, but you will only be able to be eligible for one prize.
  4. Please follow the EULA and Forum Rules.

Prizing:

1st place: 20,000 Gold

2nd place: 10,000 Gold

3rd place: 5,000 Gold

Have fun, Pilots, and get creative! We want to see planes!

 Here is my entry:

I made two because I wanted to use them as props for my scenes (see below). It didn't make sense for a German plane to attack another German plane or a Soviet plane to attack another Soviet plane, but for a German plane to attack a Soviet plane? That works.

Scenes:

I tried to make an accurate model of the planes instead on ones that can actrually fly. So show off these models, I photoshopped them into some of my WOWP game screenshots.

Here are the non-Photoshopped pictures. Some of these are the source picture for my scenes. I made a marionette controller with wood and string. Then I used my bathtub as a solid color background.

Do they have to fly or could they be just a model?

You may use adhesives such as glue and such. No they do not have to fly. They should be a form of papercraft such as origami, Zhezhi, Jong-i, and kirigami. Paper mache would hold that level of difficulty as well. There is more than a normal paper airplane. Get creative and think outside the box.

can we have a definition of "paper"?  I'm thinking paper mache, corrugated cardboard, and stuff like that.  All considered paper products....all good to use?
