I would like to actually start off with runway or carrier takeoffs.

Been talked about many times both in and since testing and has been pretty unanimously voted no, although more feasible then mid battle landings both landings and take offs are the most dangerous times for a plane short of bullets being shot at you and people are very frustrated at "dying before take off" lol.

Also a lot of programming for that frustration.

As far as a pre scripted take off it just adds to match time and get's old after awhile.

Well seeing as how a lot of players can barely fly their plane without crashing into someone or something I think taking off would be near impossible for some players. No.
"It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area you just bombed."
"The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire."
The three most common expressions (or famous last words) in aviation are: "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" And "Oh S...!"
"Airspeed, altitude and brains. Two are always needed to successfully complete the flight."
Flying isn't dangerous. Crashing is what's dangerous.

I do support this because as NathanFlightLeader stated that players can barely fly without crashing this will most likely increase the player level skill and help them prevent crashing.

Adds little value to the game, in fact it may even cause balancing issues because planes have to spend more time climbing at the start of battle. Altitude gap will become greater and since many pubs like to just yolo you're also going to have fast fighters/heavies leave behind their slower team mates who are still climbing. Even if maps are big enough and people are cooperative enough to wait and form up no one really wants to spend a lot of time at the beginning of battle doing that.

Play the other game if you want to take off from runways/carriers.

Omg, no. What a WarT idea. The last thing I want to do is a few thousand boring take offs a year. Get a flight sim. I have MsFlightSim. Take offs, landings, perfectly simulated. Wulf

  • set directional gyro
  • set trim
  • check magnetos
  •  check fuel mixture
  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......................

Personally I think we should have to fuel and load ammunition before battle too maybe even wash it(don't want to be shot down in a dirty plane ^.^)b

And watch the one troll at the front of the line turn sideways and park, or slew into teammates trying to take off and destroy them.  No thank you.
