Usually I'd just post this Tidbit on the FTR Tidbits thread, but this has merit all to itself...

http://ftr.wot-news..../20/20-11-2013/

 - about time limits: WoT is limited by appearance of smoothbores, WoWp is limited to the first generation of jets, WoWs is limited to the point when battleships lost their importance, eg. roughly the same time period

This means any Jet that has performance charicteristics of a Gen 1 can qualify to be in the

game like this cool guy,,,

Anyway food for thought...

It fits the time period but I doubt a trainer jet would be very competetitive.

SerB kind of misspoke. The game is more limited by the apperance the air-to-air missile like the smoothbore, another weapon, limits World of Tanks than by generation. Plus the Swift and Javelin are considered second generation jet fighters.

IMO you're hamstrung by WG's deep-rooted "I've got a secret" complex.

While those also fit the timeframe, have to remember that they also have to fit in the tech trees somewhere. The 21R was only used by Sweden and the 29 only by Sweden and Austria. Maybe it could be put in as a tier 8 German premium because of Austria kind of like how the Ram II is considered American in WoT.

It's funny cause the Cutlass and the Swift/Javelin were equiped with A2A missiles.

F7U didn't get missiles until the F7U-3M variant. Javelin didn't get them until the 6th variant and Swift didn't get them until the 7th variant. None of them had missiles when they were introduced.

Yet the ingame's F7U has F7U-3M'S engine. It's also the same thing with the Javelin. Don't know if the engine is the same with the swift because the Swift's engine in wowp isn't marked with a unit.

It doesn't really matter because wowp needs it :P

I think it's good that world of warplanes adds them even though they had missiles in history but aren't in the game for balancing issue. So I don't mind it.
