Thank you; thank you. Pilot came 100%, and my boss approved my requisition for expenses. Painted for all 4 environments, added a stinging bee on the nose, gunsight, and reinforced covering. Came with 4 belts of "armor-piercing incendiary." I was guessing that the lack of specials for the weekend meant that 1.2 was coming out tonight, but they just must be fresh out of specials. But, big specials on WoT, so I'll go play where the pickings are best. I hear the hot tankers are taking the weekend off to make room for us new tankers. But the Let's Battle special included a Tier III MegaTank! How cool is that? A Locust. That must be good. Locusts are featured in history, after all.

I took a screenshot of my new paint etc., but it is 546,345 bytes, and apparently I am only allowed 500,000 bytes for (what?) the rest of my life. Sorry

Upload your screenshot to a 3rd party hosting service like Photobucket, shrink it to a workable size and then post it here using the link wizard in the editor when you create a post.  This would be the icon that looks like a sun and mountain black&white photo to the left of the Youtube icon.

The Locust is a worthy tank, but I prefer the premium T2 Light for causing high speed havok and general American Shenanigans at low tier.

For your Stosser you will want to use only the Armor Piercing Incendiary ammo belts on those twin 7.92mm MGs.  This is premium ammo, but can be purchased cheaply with credits and you'll still make a profit in the Cessna of Doom.

There is no way to buy one at this time.  A handful of Beta Testers acquired the Fw.56 through codes that were given away at EU events prior to release.  The aircraft is currently available through the "Let's Battle" WG newsletter promotion to new accounts only.

I am hoping that a future promotion will make the aircraft available to pre-existing accounts.

As the founder of this club I recognized that with these current conditions that fliers of the Fw.56 would be rare, so there are other aircraft allowed at this time, like the Fw.159 and Type 91.  These are both parasol planes like the Fw.56 and are available to anyone.

Good hunting!  :honoring:

Not sure how to change hanger view of plane. This is the last camo I applied. A bit plain. ("Plain," get it?) Thank you for the assistance.

There is now a "Stosser Rotary Club" channel in the in-game chat.

AR, you can change the paint displayed for screen shots via choosing the paint scheme you want to take a picture of on the paintroom menu.  Just customize the look you want for the in-hangar shot and hit the Pause/Break button to clear off the UI before hitting the Print Screen button to take your screenshot.

This will allow you to take still shots of your planes with various paint jobs applied but without cost to you.  Obviously decline to purchase the changes you made when you hit the "Home" button again unless you want to buy the paintjobs selected.

I have searched the Internet, and other than finding a software developer, could discern no potential rationale. Your hint is? Wulf

I found a software developer Gerhardt Claassen at Magus Ltd., but I can discern no reason that your illustrious name should have been "System Rename'd" The German Ace was Gerhard, of course. Wulf

Indeed.  And I have not and will not accept any name but my original.  Let SystemRename4589 be a mark of shame upon those who leap before they look.

This is so sad that you have had to have your name changed like this. I really want to see your old name back.

Flew my Stosser in 1.2 at last. Note pinned to hat: Avoid head-on with AO. Maneuverable, but occasional freezes of the game complicate things. Great Fun!

If you're in pretty much any tier 1 or 2 aircraft avoiding all headon encounters with the AGO Ao.192 is a good start.

The trick is, if one approaches you from the front, go head on with him to close that distance ASAP; when you are about 850 meters away from him you want to dive down underneath his flightpath toward you; toss in a half barrel roll for good measure to keep him from getting those 4x 7.92 MGs of Doom on target and then pull up behind him as he passes over.  Use your boost to hang with him and fill his belly and tail full of lead.

The AGO is one of my favorite planes in the game, one of my most flown in Beta, and I can tell you with certainty this is a solid counter to his Boom and Zoom attack, unless he has a wingman covering his six that AGO will have to soak your gunfire until your boost gives out (don't push your boost that much; you'll need it for his second and third passes until your gunnery improves) or he manages to speed out of range of your MGs.

Good hunting!  :honoring:
