Joystick.xml tested to work in 0.5.1. with both Logitech and Thrustmaster joysticks (it should work well with most brands actually)...

The sensitivity has been in use by many players on the EU server for a while now and it significantly improves joystick performance (read:kills :P).

Just copy paste into your "C:\Windows\UserName\Appdata\Roaming\wargaming.net\World_of_Warplanes\" folder...

Any feedback is welcome.

Gracias.

I will have to check this out later tonight, I tried it on a team training, seems good overall, but need to play with it for about 20 more battles on live to see if it desensitizes it too much.

Hello?
I am still using it, it works well, but I need to toss mine back in and give a go around again and see if I see any difference.  Even with the changed in sensitivity via the xml, I feel that it does not help with the over sensitive rolls near other planes.
But I am still not done testing it out.

I've been using it, and it's definitely made a big difference in using the joystick for me.  I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's a great start.  Like DrS said above, it needs some tweaking still.

The hypersensitive rolling is the fault (or rather a confirmed bug) in the FM. You cannot remove it by adjusting roll sensitivity in the Xml, not if you don't want to cripple yourself whilst flying normally (not in proximity to other planes)...
This Xml is being used by the majority of the joystick playerbase on the EU server, and while I wouldn't call it perfect it is the most optimal setting in the current FM imho.
So I just wanted to make sure you guys on the US server have the access to the same quality controls, if on the other hand you have already made some more satisfying xml-s then nevermind.

That I understand about the roll, was hoping that someone found a way to combat against it with a curve. But I use this as my curve and has worked great for me and others here also that have read my Graph guide:

New Curve Roll.jpg New Curve Pitch.jpg

Mine is similar to a point with the lowered sensitivity pretty much though out the graph till the top the graph to get even  more sensitivity.

I was using something very close to your graphs, Dr Sinister, (copied shamelessly from your graphs, btw) until I tried out this XML file...  I prefer the flatter, and reduced, sensitivity of this prebuilt file; to each their own, as always, though.

Thanks for providing the file, AnuSuaraj_CRO.  Keep posting if they get updated for whatever reason.  :honoring:

Any chance of a screenshot showing the graph, with this alternative xml file applied?

For a good while now, I have taken to setting my curves to where they never cross back over the center line, at the top. Curious how this one relates.

Sure.  Pitch, Roll, and Yaw are all identical.

Well, the roll bug has been fixed with 0.5.2. so no need for that anymore.

And yes, I will be posting a new file with the updates (no need for 0.5.2 cause the old xml still works)

Gracias.

I would like to thank the OP for sharing this xml file. I was just about to give up on this game b/c of the sensitivity issues.

Download the file to somewhere on your computer. (I chose my desktop so I could find it easily.)  Once it finishes downloading (should be pretty quick) right click on it and select "copy" from the menu.

Go to: C:\Users\Insert Your Computer Profile Name Here\AppData\Roaming\Wargaming.net\World of Warplanes (That's where I found mine on win7)

Right click on an empty area in the folder and select "Paste".

You can also drag and drop the file if you're more comfortable with that.

Did this help at all?
