Is this plane worth it to buy?
Just sold my I-16 early mod due to bad ratings with it this time around with sub 30% wr. I either get killed fast with it or my team dies fast. Can't get wins in it.

I found the AR80 to be OK, but I use it primarily as a stepping stone to the 109s.

I do plan on getting it again. Had it in CBT.
That's if I ever make enough credits.

Use it..... Equip it.....gain some cash with it.....
Get the big guns on it also....
And use the "red" rounds

Then get the BF-109B ASAP.....Then max the crap out of it.....
It's a beast when it's "maxed" out....
I've had plenty of 6+ kills with that thing.....

If you see the Tracers...............It's too late

I second this.

That pesky Polikarpov packs a big punch, and six rockets are also there for some amusement in throwing them into furballs or emergency GA.

That said, the Ar 80 isn't very bad with the hub 20mm, it can deal some serious damage.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

Both I-16 models are actually fairly forgiving for their tier, coupling high firepower and maneuverability.

That said, most low tier planes are forgiving to fly in, simply because the percentage of experienced pilots flying those planes are lower than higher tiers.

I just need another 28k for the late mod, or I spend 40k on the Ar 80.

The Ar 80 is made ONLY for boom and zoom. Seriously, some tier 4s can outturn you, and only tier 5s are easy to dogfight against save the Zekes. Aside from that, use the fact that it's the only fighter of its tier to have a cannon in order to poop on sky whales, and use the insane zoomclimbing abilities to escape.

The I-16 late though, even if it is a little twitchy in rolls, has brutal firepower and great turning.

A little twitchy! Those things are spastic times 10. Didn't take me very many battles to decide it was not the plane for me.  :honoring:
Guess I got way to accustom to the lethargic traits of the Sky Whale! With all out planes wiped, I thought I would try a different path than Russian GA and German Heavy. As I pondered each of the remaining, the two I-16's in the tech tree are the very reason I have gone Russian!

Twitchy is good, it means they are incredibly responsive.

Surely you don't hear F1 drivers complaining their ride accelerating too quickly.

To those with 150 ping or so, twitchy is bad.
