instead of:

Event Begins: 22:00 PDT (01:00 EDT the following day) on July 3, 2013
Event Ends: 22:00 PDT (01:00 EDT the following day) on July 7, 2013

say something like:

Event goes airborne: 22:00 PDT (01:00 EDT the following day) on July 3, 2013
Event will be shot down: 22:00 PDT (01:00 EDT the following day) on July 7, 2013

Event takes off: 22:00 PDT (01:00 EDT the following day) on July 3, 2013
Event bombed off map: 22:00 PDT (01:00 EDT the following day) on July 7, 2013

or something to that effect, i love it when i see stuff like this, makes me believe you guys are human, lol.

and a special thanks for all you do, i love your game, i love being part of this, and your specials are awsome!

I'd go with 'event will land' instead of 'will be shot down' or 'bombed off the map.' Your wording implies that the events end in failure :)

How about the event "will be fraged at XX:xx"
