finally got my joystick and hooked it up, now its got a "glitch". The game screen "blacks out" a couple times a minute while flying. Tried it in full screen mode and windowed, same result (windowed the rest of the screen is fine just the game screen turnes black) This lasts between a half a second and 2 seconds then comes back fine only to do it again in 30 seconds.

any ideas what might be causing it?

(will post dxdiag when I get home)

fullscreen mode fixed it for me. don't know why it wouldn't work, as it works for mostly everyone else.

Send a ticket and dxdiag to the Support team.  I have the same problem in windowed mode; the more people who send tickets the easier it will be for them to isolate the problem.

Posting the dx here won't help.

It definitely has to do with flying in windowed mode, and needs to be fixed.

Hmmm...I never noticed that when I fly in windowed mode. I've been running my logitech extreme 3d pro since I got into closed beta. Definetly send a support ticket in. It would probably be the fastest way (I hope) to get an answer.

I was in closed beta also and I am having a problem with the joystick being super sensitive. I am always over steering. Anyone got any suggestions? Other than that I think they have hit another home run.

Hey Guys!

This is a known bug and we are working to get it fixed.

In the meantime, two things you can do.

One is play in Full Screen mode, (press alt + enter to switch between modes).

The other is to play the game with the Windows Task Manager open. This resolves the flashing black screens, and does not negatively impact performance.

Press control + alt + delete to open the task manager (on newer versions of windows click "Start Task Manager" after cntrl + alt + delete).

Now just leave the task manager open while playing.

We are working to get it resolved, but this will fix the issue in the meantime. Thanks for helping each other out guys!

What possible reason is there for playing in window mode? I am just curious. Wulf
