Personally, I have a completely different take.

I have noticed repeatedly, that just before a crash, my FPS drops below 15 and my ping rises well above 150.

This is a sure sign of an overloaded server or one with insufficient bandwidth.

I suggest you look at your resources rather then sending us on a wild goose chase

In your own words, the fix you suggest will REDUCE the problem not eliminate.

Ergo the fix is taking the heat of your servers.

Fix your end and our end will be just fine..

The game tend to crash each 3/4 battles.

I went all around the WG support operations until at last I got an answer  after a lot of messages ranging from the face palm level asking me about Vista and Explorer9 update after I have sent an extensive report showing I was using Windows10 64 and Firefox to some more pro answers such as the one about DNS flush.

The answer was about an upcoming patch to solve the .. well known "out of memory" error.

So, ATM, the best solution against crashes is to count the battles and restart Launcher and Game after counting up to 3/4.

You can use abacus, chips or coins to help remember the number ...

WoWp battles meter © is working according to technical specifications. :teethhappy:

Wargaming.net Game Center on its side has a suspicious behavior.

As said previously, I am currently restarting the game after 3/4 battles.

To stop the game completely, I am also closing the Game Center.

In Windows Task Manager, I found that even when the game and the game center were closed the task, game center task was still running.

If you restart the game many times, you will get many game center task instances still running in the background.

So I will suggest to kill manually the game center task in the Windows Task Manager after having closed the game after having restart the game 3/4 times.

You have a server problem.  Experiencing 100% packet loss during battle.

Have:

Cleared cache

Repaired client

Reinstalled client

speed tested my IP several times

Did the above - No Conflict.

This started happening with the latest update - but it looks like a server problem.

Granted, there are always issues with the game such as crash to desktop, viewing your plane from the front when respawning, etc., etc.

However, I have not seen packet loss nor have I seen really any similar complaints on the forum lately.  Check the processes that are running on your PC.  Also, you can try to flush dns (google: how to flush DNS windows) and see if that helps.

This is one case where I will say that it could be on your side unless a lot of others chime in with similar packet loss complaints on this necro thread or other threads.

Good Luck!

Please.  There are people complaining about in-game crashes all over the forum.  Try again.  Not crashing to desktop.  Total packet loss, then after a long while tells you you have been disconnected from the server.

I'm not some Joe that doesn't know his way around a computer.  I've built my own, and know my way around a program.

Also, I play Vanilla, no mods.

Seems to me it's server overload.  Like they don't want to start up another server during peak hours.  Which is when this is happening.

Chill dude, it's OK.  I don't know your level of PC expertise.

I just have not had any issues nor have I read any issues of massive packet loss other than yours.  So... based on my limited sample size, I just gave what I thought was helpful advice.

I still am not seeing any lags, packet loss or other strange things.

I do restart the game every 5 or 6 battles because if I don't, something will go wrong.  I agree there are issues, just have not had the packet loss ones maybe due to good fortune/ISP/location whatever.

No lag. Just packet loss.  I have a good video card.

I'm pretty sure what's going on.  It's a business decision.

Doesn't happen except at peak hours.  That makes it pretty clear.

This worked!  Thanks for posting this solution.  I haven't had a crash since.  Man WG needs to include this fix officially because it absolutely works!

lag which manifests in strange game behaviour, fps drops below 10, then crash.

Sometimes after a crash, when I just try to launch into battle, game crashes. Upon returning, I hit launch battle again and later discover that there are two battles going on simultaneously in the same plane, one minute apart, one in which I am an active participant.

There is no way this is happening on my end.

Ridiculous lag today.  Several times sitting in midair waiting while frantically trying to move my plane.  Getting shot down, then getting shot down again, while waiting in queue.  Update your servers!

BTW my speed test shows Ping of 21 and 71MbPS

Despite the update that is supposed to fix the bugs that make the game crash all the time, I see no improvement at all.
Trying to open a chat box crashes the game. And this in my first minute after the update. What gives WG? Seriously. Do you even test your updates before you release anything?

Tonight I started this up and got a black screen twice when about to go into a battle, When I restarted, guess what! OH, another win and I did squat. The third time the game window loaded and got taken back to the game centre.

The latest patch or server issues: (short list)

  • Black Screen when battle starts, frequency: ~  1 out of 10 times
  • kicked out of game at end of battle,  frequency: ~1 out of 3 times
  • longtime issue: must click on "BATTLE" button multiple times to respawn ( losing valuable time in game) frequency: all the freakin' time!

Please!.....please fix these?

This is happening to me very frequently too. Battle ends, lose server connection as I'm supposed to be going back to the hangar.

Been saying this for awhile, when you hit play in the game center it can take a whole minute or longer to load and clicking play untill it greys out will mean you will have more then one instance of the game running and it even has a pop up to let you know. Click once and wait!

Restarting the game every 3 or 4 battles helps a lot and I have come to the conclusion that it has nothing to do with internet speed as I am in a circumstance right now where my high speed because of bad connections on their outside cables can have me going from a 330 download speed to a 5 mb dl speed with 12 ping and there is no difference and I can still fly but when in the low DL times I do get 10% packet loss but it never causes a black screen unless the disconnect from the server one but I rarely get those and only after a battle.

The game center seems to be the problem and I do have a capable ASUS gamer build that can easily handle this game but after 5 matches it can tax me to the point my cooling fans will go on high. keep playing and your looking at a BSOD that will require hitting the power button to kill the process.

I dont know whats causing all the problems but I know what's not causing them.

I flew an i-5 today at 12 ping,14 UL and 12 DL. 65 FPS in max graphics and intermittent 10% packet loss.

I never thought that would be possible but I got 4 kills and 4 assists.

lost but not by much
