Wasn't this the type they used in Raiders of the Lost Ark? Granted it was a replica.

I used to fly it in Secret Weapons of Luftwaffe. Though it was called Go229 Flying Wing in there.

I miss that game so much. I still have the original CD-ROM, but it requires DOS 5.0 (yes, 5.0, didn't work under DOS 6.0). I remember having a special DOS 5.0 boot disk just to run it (and that was before Win95).

Another aircraft I used to play with a lot was the Me 163 Komet.

Yeah I used to play that. I had the expansions too Do-335 and HE162.

Give GoG time and they will make it come back as well, this plane was amazing and proven to have stealth technology,

Im hoping this one is in the game, its so unique. Perhaps as top tier bomber since it was designed as a bomber at first.

WoWp drinking game: Drink when a post about being accepted into CBT,how Brit/Japanese planes should be added, about why no beta key yet, a thread that should be in beta section is in open section or how something should be added when devs have said no.

Does anyone think this plane reminds them a little of the B-2 Spirit? The again, it was the main inspiration for the plane.

Maybe it could be a prem. player controlled bomber for high tiers. (Or NPC)
My Hurricane Mk.I went faster than your Me-262. Shocking...

This is not quite right. The Horten 18 was intended as a long-range bomber and the successor of the Horten 229 (Horten 9).

No. The Horten Ho 229 was a Fighter-Bomber, while the Horten 18 was a long-ranged heavy bomber.

The builders of the B-2 Spirit, Northrop Grumman, built an exact replica of the Horten Ho 229 to test its stealth capabilities, and they stated that the Horten Ho 229 was their inspiration. Other companies made flying wing bombers for the USAF, but none of them ever entered service for a number of reasons (mainly, they were extremely unstable; the Horten Ho 229 was actually one of the most stable flying wing aircraft).
