DrSinister's Mod Pak Installer v1.11.0

Ready for Patch 1.9.11.0

Auto Installer v 1.11.0

(This link goes to an external site now).

For this version of my Auto Installer:

1.  There is no "click/hover of item in list to see full details of the mod," you will have to reference the screenshots/videos on Post 1 of this thread. This will come at a later time (if I can figure it out).

To Install:

1. Download the Auto Installer above.

2. Follow the instructions within the Installer.

To Uninstall:

1.  An uninstaller for my Auto Installer gets placed into the root directory for WoWp (C:\Games\World_of_Warplanes folder is default).  Do not click on the Uninstaller that has the WoWp logo, that is for WoWp.

I know what I'll be spending time with this weekend.  Moving that radar to a better location and the old version target boxes look like something I'd like to have.  Thanks Doc.
I'm still using your first person camera view mod from 4.2.  I was pleased the move to open beta had no affect on the mod.

Would it be possible to link DLs for the individual mods for us tech impaired folks that only want one or more, but not all of these mods?

I forgot that most of the linked ones are to the Original Files that are part of the Mod Manager.  I will repack each one with the stock res_mod folder.

Yeppers - playing around with various mods by simply swapping out Res_Mods folders is a snap.  Don't forget, however that if you do swap Res_Mods folders (in order to test various mods) that you will need to exit the game client and then restart for it to be active.

@ DrSinister; thanks for bringing your thread over here!  Hopefully as the game attracts more players we'll find some more folks interested in tweaking the interface on this side of the world.

This is great stuff, Doc.  My plan was to tinker with it this weekend however, I got mixed up in a flight with Zapper and Jareth after work (you know nothing good could come of that).  Zapper convinced me to go ahead and do the install right then.   Quick, easy, and worked as advertised.  Fantastic!

Thanks again for bringing these over to the NA server, Doc.  I really appreciate what you've done and how much better the play is with the improved camera views and radar position.

The question still remains, why does WG insist on leaving first person out.  I don't get it!

When you added both the roxblnfk attitude indicator and Hootorez's Carnival; did you find any conflicts between the two?

I began using these mods yesterday at the behest of zapperguy, and quite frankly, these are great.  My playing has improved tremendously!  Thanks DrSinister!

Looks good!  (+1)  However, I think I'll stick with the default GUI, as pretty as the mod is, its information overload (at least for me, that is).

Overload?

I prefer a simple airplane HUD so I can focus on the game.  Mods tend to overload the limited resources at my disposal, lower my frame rate, and generally slow down the game.

For the radar, is it possible to enhance the view from your plane in that the green view marker is more visible? The transparent green is hard to see.

Nah, I have not had any conflicts with both, I have always used both Attitude Indicator and Hootorez's Carnival (all versions) since they have been release.  What kind of conflicts are you seeing?

This I could not tell you since I am not the modder for the Radar mod.

I installed the compilation and for what ever reason, the sighted crosshair mod is not showing up.  Is there a trick to get it working?

Thanks for the compilation!

The sighted crosshair, you will not really notice a change.  The center of the current crosshairs were a hair off, all this mod does is make that crosshair at true center, so that your shots line up correctly.

Ok, I am looking to try out the good Dr.'s mods but when I open up the WoWP file, I see a  Res and a Res_BW file (and not the Res_mods file like in WoT,) so I am wondering which one is the correct one to unzip the file into?

thanks for posting the mods, as players like me need all the help I can get just to fly straight................!

There is no Res_mod folder in the main WoWp directory (have to manually create it).  The way I have the files zipped up, you should just be able to unzip right in the main WoWp directory, because each zip has the Res_mod folder and the other folders in that to make the mods work.

This Res_mod folder is not the official mod folder for WoWp like it is in WoT, but because the coding is still there (besides the paths.xml has be changed to direct the folder change) the RU modders were able get Res_Mod folder to work in WoWp.

Also each zip file has the modified paths.xml file that is needed to get the Res_mod folder to work.
