Not yet, I have been pretty busy, I am sorry.  I still will work on it, just got to get a break from the OT that work wants me to do.

I won't be playing 2.0 so my mods will no longer be supported.

Idk what I will be doing.  Mods for now will be on hold, till I decided that I will stick with 2.0 or not.

Hey, let us know if you can make a mod to bring the HUD back, etc.  I'm sure Hryumod won't be updated any time soon.

Hey Doc,

I posted my 1st person camera mod for 2.0 on the RU forum & they tweaked it & did something else pretty cool.

For the tweak, they removed all of the numeric values in the code shown below throughout the file - it takes the shaking out of the camera. Pro tip. :great:

The other cool thing they did was add the attached file to: C:\Games\World_of_Warplanes_NA\res_mods\2.0.0.0\scripts\db along with my aircraft_camera_presets.xml mod.

Attached File  cacheddb.rar   71bytes   I had to .rar it because the forum doesn't recognize .bin files.

It's an empty cacheddb.bin file. You can leave the original intact without renaming or deleting it. Pretty cool workaround that will hold up through patches.

Why didn't we think of that? :amazed:

I knew about the blank cacheddb.bin, that is how my was back in 1.9.  Also I knew about the Vibration Table, that use to be in a different xml and then sometime ago they combined it with the camera xml.  

 

Can you link me your copy that they send back to you, I have been editing my and can not get 1st person to come back and not sure what I am doing wrong.

found this in my log files after changing the camera effects tag to "false" in the AppData/Roaming preferences.xml

102.967 ERROR: CameraEffects: cannot find id storage category: effect, 0

I still got the "zoom effect" from boosting after disabling camera effects, which I found annoying. :facepalm:

here are some more I found:

300.160 WARNING: EffectManager::doFini: StateManager not deleted, 11 ManagedEffect's are still using it.

WARNING: EffectManager::doFini: StateManager not deleted, 11 ManagedEffect's are still using it.
300.160 WARNING: EffectManager::~EffectManager: contains 11 effects on destruct.
This could indicate a possible reference leak or destruction order issue.

I found these in the prefences.xml too, they look to be hangovers not sure if they affect the current game.

<camZoomIndex> 1 </camZoomIndex>
