Hi Mugsy, I just downloaded the game onto pc and can't get it to do anything.  I'm signed in, but the links under my mouse don't respond.....any suggestions?

Mugsy is many things, but he isnt Tech Support

You may be experiencing trouble with the World of Warplanes Launcher. Try going into the WoWP folder and launching the game directly from the application exe file.

how long does it take to get the hang of the mouse control......i just came back to wowp and just wondering?

hi mugs I hope you can help me out . about 13 years ago I was riding a bike and I got hit from behind and lost my left arm and left leg  iam ok lol well kind of lol   I got me a brand new 42 in flat screen tuch screen Samsung.  and I got me a extreme 3d pro joystick.   with only one hand I kind of suffer with the bottem base switches   , looking behind map view with only one hand you got to pick the best  for your top views .thay call me littelwebber

First time playing and I find this game a real disappointment. I am a long time flight simmer and a REAL licenced pilot. This is not a true flight sim, but a game. I flew one sortie, in an FU4, there were about 20 planes on the other team, I never saw a single plane, I was taking hits constantly and tried every flight manuver I could think of. In
a real flight sim I would have at least saw one of the other planes or broke contact temporarily...total crap.

- WoWP is most definitely not a flight sim. If you flew one, such as Sturmovik, you have noticed that flight is much easier here, with a much broader player base in mind.
- Maximum planes on a side is 15.
- Taking hits with no one around sounds like enemy anti-aircraft. There is a mini-map (lower right) and if you have turned on your radar, it is in the upper right.
- Your plane begins more or less pointed directly at the enemy. Within a minute, you should see several planes.
It sounds like some rare event may have occurred, failed connection, or some such oddity. Try again, but first turn on your radar in settings. Not everyone wants the radar on, but I use it.

One game in... Don't fly the gift planes (the tier IV and V ones) until you know what you are doing. Do the tutorial missions, they are there to help you understand the control schemes etc. Then go fly in tier I/II planes, most of the players you see there will also be new, a big contrast to the tier V battle you jumped into where everyone was vastly more experienced than you, and knows the mechanics of the game.

I kept getting asked to go to the sea server, only WOWP doesn't have one, that might be confusing a few people from SEA/AUS who are trying to link their accounts, they might not realise they have to make a new one.

I use the "standard control" myself.
camera inertia to the left
split S to the left
other sliders to the right
limit bank angles not checked
flaps not checked, mapped to left shift on keyboard

Don't rush in, get your altitude up, and find out what what you're more comfortable with:
Ground Attack.....
Heavy Fighter.....
Light Fighter......

It will take a little time, this game is more in your face....so you need to react......

hey Mugsy.. it took me about 45 minutes to download world of tanks...which is excellent. I'm hoping world of war planes is as good,
