Computer:  Excessive Dive Angle!

Me:  I know.  I did it in purpose.  Shut up.

So...any chance we could selectively turn off warning messages?  I like hearing that there is one "Last enemy aircraft!" or "You are our only hope!".

Clan JTF-L is recruiting! We welcome veterans and new players alike that are committed to developing and executing good game-play skills, team work, and a competitive spirit.  The ability to use TeamSpeak is a must, as we value real-time voice for coordination and general chat during downtime.  We are also developing a junior division to allow the children of Clan members to join in the fun and competition.  A family that shoots tanks together, stays together.  If this is something you have been looking for, check us out.

Yes, this is a great suggestion.  I would like a list of radio buttons, so that I can chose which warnings I can receive, and turn the others off.

+1 from me on this. I don't know what an "excessive dive angle" might be or why I should care.

It is a valid enough warning, I suppose, if one was trying to avoid an unavoidable pull-up from the ground...but was I beginning a dive from 1500 feet down into a Bf110B at the time...I was in no danger of hitting the dirt.  :)

I like it better when I am climbing up, and get the excessive dive angle warning.

Definitely get my support for this suggestion.  Although this is something that warriors have been complaining about since the dawn of automation I think....  lol

I'm a big supporter of this mainly because during closed I'd be in a tier 5 fighter and hear "you're our only hope" and I'm pretty sure I'm not good enough to take down 5 enemy planes I'd just rather die and not know that someone was counting on me

One thing which I think might help with the voice messages is if they would have different tones depending on the urgency of the action or event. For instance, when it says "low altitude" that's useful because I think it's indicating I'm within the stealth altitude; in such a case, the voice should be very brief, and matter of fact. If it were "enemy on your tail" or "crash imminent" I would expect some urgency in the voice. Currently, the voice actor sounds too much like 40-50's era news reel announcer, which would be perfect for information videos, but not for in combat announcements.

Another change which might help is to make it sound like the voice is coming over a radio, or like it's my pilot's voice inside a mask, or in the open air; it should depend on whether the plane is open cockpit, and so on. This will help with immersion, and will just sound right for the environment.

You can always choose to mute the voice messages from your audio settings.

Some of the voice messages are useful (FIRE!). . . but excessive dive angle isn't one of them imo. Especially when it likes to "warn" me of having an excessive dive angle while CLIMBING.

Unfortunately, it's either all or nothing when it comes to the voice messages.

Another message witch seems to be new is "critical hit" I like hearing that after a couple of good solid rounds do some damage.. rather than good hit.. repeatedly for 5 hp of damge done..

Im *prettttty* sure we have been asking for this for a long long while.  This one in particular is annoying because you could be climbing, or rolling, or afk and you can get it lol.

This particular voice message should be toggled on/off with the "prevent escessive angles" or whatever that noob option is.

THUNDERCATS!

At least it has improved a lot. Agreed it still needs more refinement though

I like the idea of selective messages
I know when I'm in a dive, and when I'm about to stall.

"Your on fire" I would like to hear, so I can mash the fire ext button

lol same!, however, I think it would be an interesting feature (for sometime in the far future) if they would make it so we could choose which messages we wanted to hear and which ones we dont.

or if you are feeling impatient and dont want to wait for patch 18.5.3 haha! ...maybe make  a voice mod. ;)

are the different voice messages stored as individual files?  if not, they could convert to that method.  then i could swap out the excessive dive angle mp3 with "Awesome dive angle!"
