On "Aerofun 2 / 1979" (italian magazine) there is an article on an jet fighter of 1950 that has not been approved by the Ministry of Defence for the construction of an initial prototype. The "SIAI-Marchetti SM-10X", this is his name, as being very similar to the Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star, but with two engines.


The article reports the explanatory text prepared by the SIAI MARCHETTI where there is all the data on the aircraft. The aircraft was equipped with two turbojets Westinghouse "Yankee" 24-C and would be equipped with 4 x 20mm cannons with 300 rounds each mounted on the nose, plus 500 kg of bombs or rockets on the wings.
