Well.. been around every here and there, admiring the work posted here within the forum..

And last week, took my 2nd RC plane out flying again, it flew amazingly well.. right up till it departed controlled flight and went straight nose into the ground.. snapped the nose clean off and promptly took it home.

Everything except the plane checked out fine.. so I removed the parts for installation on a new RC plane that is a lot more promising.

Oh yeah, this is where the parts got moved to:

This is the design I set out to build last June and got left incomplete, two months before I was about killed by Mononucleosis. Without any ballast weights or parts on it, I threw it across the house from about knee high; the CG was essentially perfect where it was. The plane went across the house until it hit the footrest on the couch.. perfectly straight without any complaints.

All it needs now is some landing gear.. Installed basic verticals that resemble the Sanka Mark II and/or Shinden.
Based off this drawing of mine: http://fav.me/d5n98zt

And for those of you in the US.. have a great Independence day!

Thanks, and uhh.. if you consider the overall time it took to go from drawing up templates to the complete product.. just a couple day's work -or maybe a few.. memory's a little fuzzy.

As for the color, I haven't found any foam friendly paints in stores around here, so it's stuck that color till further notice. (Still need to come up with some landing gear for it before I can take it flying..)

I have made a few skins. They aren't great... but I used to be very good at it when I was skinning my own 3D models. WG uses a completely different (and more complicated) mapping scheme and it's tough to relearn something like that. At least for me.
They are available here:   https://skydrive.liv...CB81D94DC74!120
The first is "Ferocious Frankie" (Look it up)
The second is Lee Archer's "Ina the Macon Belle" from the Tuskegee Airmen (look it up)
The third is "Crazy Horse", a converted late war P51-NA operated by Stallion 51 in Kissimmee Florida. I was lucky enough to catch a ride in this one. Unreal. Non-Historical.
The forth one is a skin "representative"  of an F4U from VF17's  "Jolly Rogers"
The Fifth is Butch O'Hare's F4F
The sixth one is P51H "Louisina Heatwave"
The seventh one is an Arado AR65 "representative" of one flying the Eastern Fron circa 1941
The eight one is a skin from VF84
Special thanks to  hawkeyededic for the excellent skin template I used for "Crazy Horse" Big Time Saver   https://skydrive.liv...0047E8D5705!105
And
Kenworth driver for his killer work figuring out how to ditch the goofy common aircraft markings I hate. It was very helpful. https://skydrive.liv...3FE38419B26!108
Now.. how to use these? Hellifino. Somehow I got a res_mods folder/paths.xml setup structured correctly to make all this stuff work. It was confusing to me and I somehow stumbled upon something that worked.
I'll probably put some more stuff up. So far all I've done is planes no cares about.

But would drawing a warplane be WoWP fan art or just warplane fan art?

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
