Go here C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\wargaming.net\World of Warplanes make a copy of the joystick xml and put it somewhere safe.
Then replace it with another Joystick xml, Dr Sinisters are usually pretty good.

This Is the one I'm using it has the curve from the good Dr well at least the one I was using before the update. It also has free look added back in but I think you will have to set the rest of the button as mine is set up for left handed use while my right recovers from major surgery. One other thing once it's in place and your in game it pays to set the axis to the joystick.

@vac_mo all I do it move the file to another folder out of any WoWp directory so that way if all of it gets wiped and then redone I will still have the backup.  For Example all my control xml from 0.3.5.2 are in my Temp folder > WoWp > Controls > 0.3.5 and the 0.4.0 back ups are in the Temp folder > WoWp > Controls > 0.4.0.  You do not have to do a folder system like this, I do it because I have mods I put in that WoWp temp folder also.

@Kodranger

Not sure if this is affecting it but I see you have Engine Off and Boost on a JS buttons.
Spoiler
Have you unmapped those and see if Throttle still works then?  Because it does look like you have Throttle on Axis 6 (which I have a 3D Pro also and throttle is Axis 6).

Also another thing I see is that in this section you do not have your axis for pitch, roll, yaw, throttle mapped for your JS, 0 menas its mapped for the default controller.
Spoiler
I would go into the game and go back the the Joystick section and click each axis and redo the mapping for each axis.  This might help resolve your throttle issues.

If neither one of these work, remap your Activate Boost/Apply Air Brakes axis to axis 5 (the twist axis of the stick) and then test in Single Battle if the twist works the Throttle.  Reason I am doing this is to determine if your Axis 6 is responding or not.

Well I did make newer xml but I am not really sure if it feels better or not with the one I am using now.

This is the one I am using now:
Attachmentjoystick.xml

This is the test one, just rename it back to Joystick.xml:
Attachmentjoystick test.xml

Can I still use this file after last pacth Dr. Sinister?
If dont, can you please upload the one that you are using?!
Thank you very much for everthing.

Just pull the curves out of them and paste them in the Joystick.xml your have.

That is what I did when I updated my xml to the current xml.

So if you want the 1st one just copy and paste this over the section in the new xml file:
Spoiler

If you want the 2nd one then use this curve:

I used the default linear curve at 1st for few matches and just did not feel right, so I added back my curve, which was easier to do via manually editing the xml, but it still can be done via the points in game, just got to visualize the curve.

Ever since I messed with the .xml file, I can no longer edit the axis's. I click apply and OK, however when I go back, the settings did not save..

Are you using the old XMLs inplace of the new XML?  Because the File IDs are different, its easier to just copy the curves from the old then paste it in the new xml.

Now to use the ingame graph for each axis is not that hard.  Also you can place 8 movable points.

Looking at the graph the bottom line is what the joystick outputs, the vertical line is what WoWp would register it at.  Each line on the graph is 5% going from 0% to 100%,

So on the default (linear) curve, say you looked at the bottom line and its at 30% and the vertical line is at 30%, which means that at 30% of the stick from center relates to 30% in the game.  Therefore if you go for a flatter curve, i.e. you plot a point at 30% joystick but on the 20% line for the vertical line.  What this correlates is that at 30% the game would only register 20%, this will make the stick less sensitive and is used more for precise movements.

The thing though is that you have to find the spots that will work for you the best.  That will take time and testing to figure out.

Most of you seem to be pretty astute jostick techs and most seem to use the 3D Pro, I just installed the beta and this is the second game i have had a chance to use my new joystick with (Arma 2 being the other / i also use the 3D pro) but when I go to fire using button 1 aka trigger finger button it is just a continuous firing, it only stops if i hit spacebar or escape, any thoughts?

There ia already an open thread on this.  Activating Joystick Trigger Causes Continuous Firing

I also suggest you open a ticket if you haven't already.

I deleted the entire game, redownloaded it and now I can edit the axis. I edited the xml with both of your configs and still not near as good as it was before 0.4.0... Oh well...

Since this seems to be the Logitech X3D guru section, I was wondering... I've been playing happily for some time SINCE the patch with my throttle (axis 6) acting normally.  When I went to adjust the curves, it randomly became inverted and toggling the "invert axis" option doesn't fix it.  I've tried recalibrating my stick via windows control panel and remapping the axis but to no avail.  I had this problem a long time ago and it was fixed in a patch.  Just wondering if anyone knows what I could do to fix it besides waiting for another patch  :sceptic:

Thanks!

There is a fix but that means you have to edit the Joystick.xml to make it permanent.

If you want to do this then first make sure the game is closed then navigate to go to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\wargaming.net\World of Warplanes (Vista, Win 7/Win 8).  Copy and Save the Joystick.xml in a safe location to use as a backup when you need it.  Then right click the Joystick.xml and click edit.  Then search for this line: 0, and change it 1.  Save and close it and Launch the game.
