%APPDATA%\Wargaming.net\World of Warplanes\

Copy and paste the following path either in your run window (Win+R) or your the address bar in your standard Explorer window (Win+E). You should see different XML files corresponding to the different control schemes currently available in the game. However, the in-game options for keybind customization and other minor edits are very limited, so we'd have to edit the XML files manually to suit our needs and wants.

gamepad.xml = gamepad controls
joystick.xml = joystick controls
keyboard.xml = keyboard controls
mouse_directional.xml = WoT Mouse controls
mouse035.xml = 0.3.5 Mouse controls

Starting with keyboard and mouse options, add or edit the following lines to your desired control file within the keybinds section for the desired control changes. Please do not forget to remove or replace all overlapping keybinds (you don't want to yaw and roll at the same time):

Example keybind section (similar headers for all configurations)
Spoiler

Keyboard Yaw (for Keyboard, WoT Mouse and 0.3.5 Mouse)
-update: not required as of 0.4.0.1
Spoiler

Mouse input curves and sensitivities (WoT Mouse, 0.3.5 Mouse).
-Note: default value "1" in <INVERT_Y> does NOT invert your y-axis, set to "0" for inversion.
Spoiler

Joystick sensitivities, deadzones and input curves (Joystick)
Spoiler

Selecting Fire Groups
-Note: group 1 is bugged and will not work; thus group 2 = group 1, group 3 = group 2 and so on (eg. KEY_2 now fires group 3)
-update: not required as of 0.4.0.1
Spoiler

Throttle and boost controls
Spoiler

Keyboard curves and sensitivity options
Spoiler

Mouse vector indicator "sticking" (plane maneuvers to the indicator and remain level)
Spoiler

How about throttle control for the keyboard and a stall w/ flaps button like previously? .....

Any chance you used snap to target before? If so is there a way to make it function like it previously did, it seems to reset my mouse to center whenever I "un snap".

Thank you very much for this Haswell. I have a question for the keyboard yaw XML edit. The text should just be copy/pasted under mapping with all the other CMD_ lines, right? I'm using XML notepad, and it's all very confusing for me since I've never been very good at writing codes/script.

EDIT: Oh, and sideslip compensation is under "true" in the XML files. Should that be turned to false for proper yaw controls?

By default, the keybinds for rudder control are not included in WoT Mouse and 0.3.5 Mouse configuration files, so you will have to add those lines into the keybinds section in the respective XML files.

Since not all the in-game configuration options allow for toggling sideslip compensation on and off, I would simply edit or add the line into my desired control configuration file and mark it as "true" or "false" for enabling/disabling the compensation.

I have tried to edit the xml file with notepad and even downloaded a xml editor and neither worked for me, I could change the factor but it would not respond differently for me. I talked to Tzar_Ivan he said he would email me a quick fix that should fix the xml. I will post the download on the forum when I receive it.

Hmm... trying disabling UAC (User Account Control) and try again in an administrator account? (I do not condone this though, as this puts your system at risk of foolish actions leading to all kinds of crap)

The actual Invert Y-axis is now 0's instead of 1's on mouse 3.5 but still no change in game. I tried deleting the wargaming folder and starting over and same issue. Any ideas of why its not taking the new imput?

If anyone has a pre-made "oldschool"  xml 3.5 mouse config please add it to this post. Thanks guys.

Nada for me as well, I crossed out that line for now until I figure out what went wrong.

I see a lot of word "Fire" but I am trying to regain control of my weapon group 1 and 2 and 3 etc..  I can only fire my 37mm WITH my 50 cals, an dI don't like that.. I like firing only the 37mm

When I set both lines of Automatic Flaps to valule of false.. it doesn't fix the pitch up forcing that the IL series does. The other planes I have DO NOT have this pushing up anti-gravity effect.

Thanks for sharing the file edits.
When I get back to the game either later tonight or early tomorrow, I'll try adding these to see if it improves my play.

I'm just curious though if anyone knows why it was thought a good idea to make the new mouse controls affect pitch, yaw, and pseudo-roll?

It just seems completely counterintuitive to have the mouse do roll to 90 degrees and then require using either the level aircraft key or the opposite roll direction key to balance out without having to funky fishtail.
