I cut my teeth on Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 1 and 2 (started out with an AMD 350mhz processor and shotgun 33.6k modems) and eventually hit the big time with a 733mhz Intel Celeron when IL-2 Sturmovich came out. Now I have my quad core extreme system and currently enjoying World of Tanks while I wait for this game to launch, or I hit the lucky Beta Lottery! I still use my name from CFS days where we patrolled the skies in our A6M3's and 5's flying the 77th_IJAAF colors. Spaero_77th_IJAAF reporting for duty!
Any former CFS and IL-2 players anxious to try this out?

Glad to have you aboard, Bruce. I will not be your guide sadly, but there will soon be many others that will be your guide on what to do. I will say, on the other hand, that the appoximate wait for the beta is 2-6 months and sometimes longer. Until then, feel free to play other games and chat with us on the forums and who knows, you might strike lucky with someone willing to give you a beta key. See ya in the skys when you get here! ^^

I actually played CFS2 and CFS3 before trying this game, both are excellent games but this isn't as realistic as those 2, if you want that realism go to war thunder, this game is more like a cod with planes
Awww Don't run, you'll only die tired!

War Thunder seems to be a lot more wholesome
Would that happen to come from your zero battles in WoWP?

Just watching some WoWP footage, that's about it. And a snarky response is not very nice.

Not really seeing the snarkyness... Its in closed beta, normally any footage you would have seen is not complete as the Devs are not showing everything just yet,

Welcome!
I have played both CFS2, 3, and IL2 for many hours and am currently downloading WOWP (6 hours down, only at 17%
) I don't expect the gameplay to be as realistic, however I am hoping for some flexibility.

I was in IL2 with the 777 AVG. Is hyperlobby still running??? I flew under the name zombiebird. I wasn't very good, but I had lots of fun. I am looking forward to this one!
