Yes, the new mouse controls are an addition to the currently existing ones and won't replace them.

Sooner than you probably think.
I don't want to give a specific date yet in case anything goes wrong, but we are on a pretty good path right now. Fingers crossed!

Sounds beautiful, can't wait for release. Speaking of which, is there a release date scheduled for 4.0 or is that still to be determined?

Congratulations on all the hard work, Development Team.

Awesome, can't wait. These changes will definitely make this game more appealing, and I'll be spending even more time on it. Good job, guys.

As a mouse user, I'm excited to try the new scheme. It seems simple enough, and might actually improve situational awareness to some extent, linking maneuver to a mobile camera. As long as this doesn't exclude free looking with the middle mouse button, it should be good; I don't want to have to maneuver every time I look around, as it could disrupt my intended maneuver.

I'm very interested in trying out the new flight model, as it sounds like it could be a huge improvement.

I always like graphics improvements to the planes.

It's nice to have an explanation for why the major update was taking so long. This sounds worth the wait.

This should be interesting. I am looking forward to testing this. I also look forward to seeing the new graphical improvements.

I also can't wait. This is the big patch I've been waiting to test. And now that I have some free time for a change, I'm going to test it a lot.

Just wanted to clarify something because it was clearly taken out if context.  This was not an insult, this wasa joke saying that grouchy will be so excited about the changes to the flight model that he will be unable to contain his excitement like a young puppy.
