I don't go on forums very often, and a new to the World of _____ forums. That being said I was wondering if someone could tell me (being a noob) what the difference between reputation and user rating is on the WOWP forum.

Also whats the deal with not being able to link 99% of images on the internet?

They are currently having issues with letting you add images.  Only a select few will work.  However, they are continuing to add new URLs that will work with the forums.


Here is the difference.  


Rep can be upped by players.  Whenever someone likes your post, they can +1 it.  It's like saying "I agree".  You can also get a +1 for ROFLing people.  But then you have some players that just go crazy with the rep button and click it for everything.  THAT IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD BE!  Use rep effectively.

User rating is what people think of you.  Your character, personality, etc.  This is harder to get than rep as players must vistit your forum page and rate you while rep can be gained just by players visiting your post.  You will find very few players will "Star" you.  This is because before"Staring" players you really have to get to know the player.  While rep can be upped for just one good post, Stars come after a series of good and USEFUL (no Trolling) post.

Or you know, if someone pisses you off just 1 star them. 1 is they are a horrible person and 5 stars been someone is liked in the community. And the starts which you see are just an average of what everyone thinks of you.(Or another user if you are looking at their profile)
