Battles Played: Closed Beta 50+ Open Beta 67
Plane balance: I feel like the J7W2 is reasonable balanced in its tier, the stock 20mm cannons are not that good but once you move up to the 30mm Type 5 C cannons it gets much better and even better with the next upgrade up 30mm Type 17 C cannons. I find the cannons to be very well balanced for the historical accuracy of what the aircraft would be like in real life. The turn rate on the J7W2 is also well balanced as well as its roll rate is, both of those factors seem historically accurate. The climb rate is very good even with the stock engine but I have not upgraded the engine yet in open beta and I don't remember what it was like in closed beta so I can't really say anything about the engine upgrades. The hit points on the plane are a bit low but in my opinion it is balanced because Japanese aircraft tend to be nimble but very maneuverable.
Historical accuracy: I think that the J7W2 is modeled very well historically in World Of Warplanes and doesn't balancing changes
Power curve: The J7W2 stock feels like it was not really worth the grind for it, but if you unlocked the 30mm Type 5 C cannons on the J7W1 it will be a much more pleasant plane to fly and the 30mm Type 17 C cannons make it feel even better.
Firepower wise the J7W2 feels like a tier 7 jet stock only once you get the 30mms unlocked do you start feeling like a tier 9. Again I can't say much about the engine upgrades but I'm sure that the fully upgraded engine will be a blast when I get it and will really add up to how fun the plane is.
Adjustment recommendations: The only recommendation I have to balance the plane is to possibly increase the firepower of the stock 20mm Type 99-2 C cannons as they do feel slightly underpowered. Everything else is perfect in my opinion.
Additional notes: The J7 series needs a fair amount of marksmanship to play and be efficient with the planes, they are fairly good at hitting targets at a long distance so if you like staying back and dealing damage than this is the plane for you, if you prefer to engage in turn fights than this plane is one of the best you can get for turn fights along with the J7W1 and J7W3. One thing I tend to like to do is climb up to a high altitude up were the ME 262s are and fire a burst of ammo at about 1200m-1000m away dealing a fair amount of damage then dodging the return fire and turning back onto their tail, sometimes they get away before you can turn but a lot of the time you can still manage to kill them after that I pick a low altitude target and continue on with the battle with one less Me 262 to worry about.  :trollface:

The plane is good for long range attack.  But at tier 9 and being a jet fighter that is tied to flying at a height below its US and German counterparts reduced it to a less contributing role for the team.  Good for base defense against GA tho.

So far this appears to be it's greatest contribution to the average map, although it can get to altitude if it needs to... it just can't maneuver very well there.  At least it can climb up after B n Z fighters for a short time, which it's predecessor really can't.  Of course, you'd better be sure you can kill what you are climbing after because you are an incredibly easy target if you do.

I've had some success using the lightest guns... it can almost keep on enemy jets tails long enough to do some damage at that speed.  That being said I have some engine upgrades to go, so we'll see.

Just played this jet in the common test. It's so much fun, really. It's less Japanese so to speak than the J7W1 because it actually can climb. It's the most powerful tier nine for that short 2 seconds before your guns overheat. It's just a hard plane to play because of the altitude cap. But if you can draw the planes down, you can annihilate them. You either do really good or really bad or just stay alive with no kills, keeping true to the Japanese line. If I could only have one set of jets though, I'd pick the Japanese ones.

Had this plane in open beta and it felt like a great improvement to the J7W1. However it still felt somewhat weaker compared to others, but only the BnZers, as it could reach high altitudes, but not high enough to be on an equal playing field with them. It was a manageable effort to kill planes but at the same time it was more difficult than it should have been, fighting in the red was hard and nosing up say 40 degrees at this height to take a shot, felt like rolling over and showing my belly to a 262 every time. The main issue with this plane i feel was its altitude limitations, its roll rate didn't feel as terrible from memory as the J7W1, dispite how similar that stat may be, however the roll rate could do with an increase as well.

Plane balance -

Low HP + middle Firepower => make J7W2 hesitant to get head on enemy... Wth?

Low Speed + middle Firepower => J7W2 cant BnZ against ME262 cuz we always above than me... and Also FJ-1 and Mustang H type. very sucks

middle Firepower + TOP maneuverability => there is no stupid fighter that Turning all day with JAPAN fighter. they are Run out using Speed and rolling. fire timing are extreamly short and J7W2 should waiting BnZ and Head on imcoming to me...

Low speed + TOP maneuverability => only GA and inferior craft are take position at1 and Mustang H also GET GA. but J7W2 cant pursuit them. cuz fking crapALT LIMIT Press down J7W2 all day.

 

Historical accuracy - ME262's 30mm cannon more Powerful any time. cant headon. and Lowpower jet have more speed, rolling, higher ALt so they dodge bullets and get far or get higher than me. and i stole or chasing him at 1500m distance and i do over again. and i ill die cuz my low HP.

 

 

Power curve - Pretty Good... But dont forget ME262's fire power always good and there is no STPD fighter that u can get headon attack.


 
Adjustment recommendations - This Low hp Low speed High Power High ALT fighter have big problem's that it can get only GA's but all of Heavy fighter and another jet fighter also Get GA...

~In basically, All of craft's "Absolute Speed Value" are increase by using higher tier... And, almost craft's "Absolute maneuverability value" are decrease by using higher also...

It means, Good maneuverability craft have more "Chance" that bite dead 6 and Shooting enemy and Dodge enemy's Attack when it's low tier craft.

but higher tier, speed going up up always IT's also IL-40 have more speed than other Prop Fighter... but meneuverability just going down down.

this means, In Higher tier, Speed Also Gives "Chance" of First Strike, and Dodge enemy's Bullet by using speed + barrell rolling... and helps Get Higher Attitude, and Proceed to Point of Battle.

 

To Sum up,

HP= The more the better

Firepower = The Strong the better

Maneuverability = Dodge Bullets, Bite Dead 6 when he is Turning... <- this is interesting point, If he is enough fast to escape to me, Meneuver is not helps... Firepower and Accuracy are helps Attacking him.

SPEED = Get high Attitude, moving fast, escape enemy's concentrated fire, Pursuit runout enemy(GA), Make merge point to Head ON enemy <-this is important.

 

 

 

So, IF craft get high alt, it's very advantage. and get high speed, he make Head on time. or Just Runout... so all of Initiations are depend on High speed craft's determine... WTH??

In these 1.1 period, 8~10 Tier's are heaven of High speed craft. All low alt fighter just Food or XP of 262's... that's real

 

 

Additional notes - If u want winning with this craft, pray enemy pilots are stupid or noob so come up to ur fireline with weak weaphone and dont use his speed power, and just using Turning Always, like Troller


All of Winning condition is depend on UR TEAMMATE,  Me262's, Stupid GA's NOT my Action.

 

 

or give J7W2 Good climb rate and Alt limit. was it designed to INTERCEPT US B-29 bombing raid??

IF J7W2 get ALT, and Climb rate, ME262 still have more firepower, Many HP, More Speed, More boost. and FJ-1 have ultra rolling, enough Turning, Accuracy setting gun.

Only due to RPM. Shot per shot, the J7Ws deal more damage than even the 262. Just don't go head-on due to how the guns overheat fast and you are made of rice paper.
