Hello Pilots!
We want to hear your feedback! In addition to answering the poll above, we would like your feedback on the categories below:
Battles played - How many games have you flown in this plane?
Plane balance - please explain why you think this plane is overpowered, underpowered, or balanced. Give specific reasoning like firepower, turn rates, climb speed, etc., that contribute to the planes balance.
Historical accuracy - please note any specific characteristics that make this plane unique historically and what things may be missing from that would better reflect the capabilities of the plane.
Power curve - How does the plane feel stock vs. fully upgraded?
Adjustment recommendations - Explain any recommendations you have to balance this plane and why.
Additional notes - Anything else you have to say about this plane that doesn’t fit in another section above. Include any tactics or uses that may have been overlooked by other players.
Cheers!

One of my more favorite planes. I don't reccomend any changes for this aircraft and should stay as is.

Battles played: 39
Plane balance: The plane seems pretty balanced, it's pretty soft and somewhat slow when in the chase, but it maneuvers well and can hit pretty hard with the right config.
Historical accuracy: I've had a lot of success with it and on the surface it seems a bit OP, but I think that's mainly because in-game too many pilots try to turn and burn (myself included sometimes) with this plane. This probably matches the Soviet experience in WWII. A good pilot could have success even against Bf-109s but only if they didn't use their advantage in speed and acceleration properly.
Power curve: The plane really comes into it's own once the armament is fully researched, but it's not agonizing at the beginning. I find all of the T-IV planes struggle until upgraded so it's no worse than it's counterparts.
Adjustment recommendations: I'd leave it more or less alone, if you were to make any changes at all it's possible that the ShVAK cannons are a bit too powerful. Not recommending a nerf though, without this the plane would probably suffer too much.
Additional notes: Don't chase Bf-110's for too long in this plane, they'll shred you almost as fast as they can shred an A6M.

Roll rate is way over the top bordering on cartoonish, as well as its little brother.

Superb roll rate, bordering on the twitchy and great turning with good armament. Trades this for being slow and fragile. I love it, it suits an aggressive playstyle with a good knowledge of evasive tactics. Once you commit you're pretty much in there till the end, but you'll kill an awful lot of planes before it comes.

Battles played - 36 played/16 wins/40 kills
Plane balance - The addition of the 2x 20mm give the I-16(l) the punch to take down the HF and GA with the overall maneuverability advantage.
Power curve - Stock, the plane is under gunned for its tier. Having a HF or GA tail gunner shred this plane before you are within range to hit them is a difficult strategy to overcome. Once upgraded, this plane becomes a factor in any battle.
Additional notes - Like the I-16(e), the ability to outmaneuver the larger and heavier planes of a tier higher adds to the fun factor of this plane.

The balance is good apart from the guns overheating like a 4WD pickup with a missing radiator.

I love this one and it's little brother. They do sort of look like something out of a cartoon. LOL
The weapons overheat very quickly, but they also pack a good wallop.
This plane can actually survive for a little while in a tier 6 match if you are not outnumbered, but still gets shot down in one burst.

I WANT MY T-50-2 BACK!
(yes I did!)

I don't use 20mm. 50 cal only. Planes loses too much maneuverability if fully loaded.

I used to hate this game is beta, but now I love it. I think it takes a while to figure out how to use the roll effectively.
