I did a quick search and found nothing on either of these aircraft in the forums.

KI-84 (Frank) was arguably the best fighter plane of the war of ALL nations.  It should be considered as a REQUIRED plane in this game for the Japanese tree (T6-7):

Fast: 424MPH
Very manuverable
Hard hitting: 4 x 20mm cannon or 2 x 20mm and 2 x 30 mm or 2 x 12.7mm and 2x 20mm
Armored and with self sealing fuel tanks

The KI-83 (could be a T7 plane) was a prototype twin-engined carrier-based fighter which would have been an excellent opponent to the USA Navy Tigercat (don't know if that plane will be in the American tree one day)

Fast: 438MPH
Manuverable
Hard hitting: 2 x 20mm and 2 x 30 mm
Armored and with self sealing fuel tanks

The Hayate bore some similarities to the FW-190 if I remember, too.  Deadly plane indeed.

Its hard to consider it the best fighter of all nations when it had so many issues with its landing gear and QA. Sure it could out maneuver a mustang/corsair but it was not faster, and higher up the mustang could beat it but tell me, would it win a fight against the F8F Bearcat? I don't think so.

The Bearcat is easy the best piston fighter created, with the Fury a close second.

I love me a Hawker Sea Fury.

Both of these Aircraft are land based, the aircraft in the Japanese tree at the moment are carrier based. I'm sure both will be added later with the addition of a land based tree. After all with up to 100 Aircraft added per nation it is likely we will see both at some point.

This Japanese Fighter wont be added yet. Carrier's will be added first in the Japanese line.
